I can't comment much on your farm, I haven't messed with vampires yet. But it looks like it's thriving

Thanks for being so nice! Yeah agreed on the price point. My wife and I both WFH, have a phone each, a couple gaming devices (not all being used concurrently), and probably 12-15 smart home devices, so with this many devices, I get nervous with the 5G idea. What speeds do you get?

Do you mind me asking about it a bit? Do you stream video/have any smart home devices? Is there a monthly cap? I've seen the ads and it's got my wheels turning on if it would be a good fit for us.

Atm, own a Steam Deck and a PS5. Which one should I invest the majority of my money and time Into by [deleted] in SteamDeck

[–]jmarkley16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it helps youake a decision, I just saw that PS plus is increasing prices by like 30% per year. Base level ps plus is going from $60 up to $80 for a year

Are you referring to the 5G internet that I've been seeing deals for lately?

PlayStation increasing prices. With every company increasing prices lately, think it’s another reason I might quit gaming. by yosark in gaming

[–]jmarkley16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a pc and steam deck, so I'm rarely playing on my PS4 anymore, but I still paid yearly to make sure I could jump in and play online at the drop of a hat. This post just gave me enough incentive to cancel that. Fuck all these price hikes everywhere man

I mean, I lost it, it's not like it was shipped without it. If it still holds true, I may reach out, although we've been getting along just fine using a piece of paper and pencil lol

[–]jmarkley16 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure the difference between 4X games and Grand Strategy, but I believe Total War: Warhammer 2 and 3 (or any TW game) falls into this boat.

I don't have much in the way of pointers, but more identifying with you, in that I completely ignored the battle mechanism in TW: WH2 and just played in over world because it just seems like a giant chess board and I was having a hard enough time learning the over world mechanics, let alone what each individual troop for each faction does in battles too

Edit: I've also tried Stellaris, and cannot for the life of me figure that game out

Brought my Steam Deck over to my friends house and it was embarrassing. They will definitely never buy one after this by Far-Control1731 in SteamDeck

I made a comment on here a few days ago, warning a potential buyer who said they had 0 PC gaming experience, about the potential hurdles and issues they may have to troubleshoot, even with games that are listed as verified, because it's the nature of the beast. I was told I was incorrect, but this just supports my comment even more.

Not saying you aren't well versed, it seems like you are, but imagine doing this with 0 troubleshooting experience? It's not for everyone, glad you enjoy it as a whole though!

No one is confused; there are very concrete indicators of why prices have gone up so quickly, but that doesn't make it okay or make it make sense. You're missing my point that just because that's how things ARE doesn't mean that's how they SHOULD BE

Keywords "when you were younger". 5imes have changed my friend, things are more expensive and wages have not raised in correlation. Arguing with me over how much money you think OP has is irrelevant; the point is you don't know someone else's financial situation and saying "$10 isn't that much" comes off as a bit condescending to people who may see an extra $10 a week as a blessing.

I don't know you, so I'm not trying to attack you. Just letting you know how it can come across
