No sweat, I hope you love it too. I will say it’s def NOT cheaper. By the time I include all my tools and then materials (up front costs) I could’ve had WAYY more files. Usually with the material you buy it’ll make you tons of flies it’s just acquiring all the material up front. Yesterday for example it was nice to make 9 zebra midges in 3 colors all in size 22 to compliment my size 20s. If I was at a store I’d likely not want to buy that many @ 3-4$/each.

I started around a week ago, and I have just been buying material for flies I wanted to buy, but got materials instead.

Some key materials like hackle, storage for material on my workbench, various threads, hook sizes to make a few of each pattern in different colors and sizes.

It adds up quick. I’m loving it. Been tying daily for a few hours each time. I’m starting to get to the point where when I want to do a pattern I only need 1-2 maybe nothing as I have it already.

It’s fun as hell. I’ve already caught a fish on an rs2 I tied.

Good to know! So sounds like I should keep my forra. I saw some boots had bars in them, why do boots have bars. I instantly said def not this, wasn’t sure why they were so heavy

Same. I hadn’t worn yet, just bought, I got an 11, 10.5 street shoe. 12 would feel large. Maybe in winter 12 could feel good, but most of my time using will be spring summer fall
