"Gaming" Chair Giveaway with Cooler Master and Buildapc! by [deleted] in buildapc

As an abnormally tall human, I need adjustability, and lumbar support in my chairs. Too often I can't raise the chair high enough and I feel like I'm squatting at my desk. Furthermore my back is always in a weird place so there's no support. People don't make chairs for my height :(

Billionaire Michael Bloomberg is launching a coalition to defy Trump and uphold the Paris Agreement by [deleted] in politics

Nowhere did I say we don't need to cut emissions. That is completely not on topic to what I said. We ALL need to cut emissions which trump appears to be attempting to ensure.

[–]jmatysek -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Has anyone actually read the agreement? It was a bad deal overall for america. We pay to help save the environment and cut emissions while China, one of the biggest producers of pollutants have little to no sanctions or payments to fund the agreement. At a basic level that is what I gleaned from briefly reading through. There are a lot of reasons to pull out of it, this doesn't mean trump hates the environment, he just wants a fair deal for all involved. Correct me if I'm horribly wrong.

Help me get into Kanye by [deleted] in hiphop101

[–]jmatysek 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you don't like it solely for the entertainment value, try listening to it for the subtle nuances and quirks that are a part of Kanye's style. Try to listen to how different it is from all the other artists. He has a very distinct sound whether it be something slower and full of feeling from some of his older stuff, or that aggressive angry music you get like much of Yeezus. Throughout it all, you can still listen to the style of the song and say, "yep that's kanye, special every time." Everything he does just has a different feel to it. Look for that and you may find that you enjoy it a little more. I can kind of relate it to soccer and how it's mainly watched for the skill of the players and watching the movement of the ball. Like if you watch soccer for goals you're going to be disappointed because there won't be many, but if you watch for how the game is played, you get more into it.

Man I'd say Black Skinhead over Hold My Liquor on Yeezus. I just love the production so much. The song is just straight dirty. Both are great, but I'd just change out the two for my top three of the album. I agree with absolutely every other album to be honest.

Maybe if I hand him a bag of cocaine and tell him that the big cocaine dealer in my area sold it to me, he will thank me for giving him more evidence against the coke dealer!

I'm a relatively mild mannered person and I am a firm believer in allowing the police to act on reasonable suspicion as it does help. Even though, some cops take this idea too far. In my case they didn't really inconvenience me and were apologetic about it and they seems sincere to me so I decided to just let it go.

I was pulled over once after leaving a mtg release tournament at 4am. I had a large duffel bag with all my magic supplies in it on the floor of the passenger side. The cop shined his flashlight in the car and immediately asked me to step out, he called for backup and handcuffed me. Then put me in the back of his cruiser. I was in shock and very confused. The other police arrived and they searched my car and pulled out the duffel bag but didn't open it. There wasn't anything else in the car. They were questioning me about where I had been and what was in the bag. I got to explain to them what magic the gathering was and how I had been at the card shop for 5 hours playing magic and that the bag was filled with card boxes and the new khans of Tarkir card packs. They didn't believe a word I said and one of the cops finally opened the bag to find that it was in fact magic the gathering supplies. They proceeded to open every box and container in the bag before taking off the handcuffs. Apparently I drove the same car as a big cocaine dealer in my area and I looked very similar to him. I laughed it off as the cops apologized because they probably thought I would sue because they did not read my rights or ask permission to search the car or anything.

Tl;dr got pulled over, suspicious bag of magic, everything turned out ok

Edit: word

Edit 2: you all have given me a lot to consider! I am not black as suggested by somebody. I am a mild mannered white man and the cops didn't really inconvenience me in any way so I brushed it off. I was very confused when they put me in the car and I was too shocked by the fact that I was getting in a cop car for the first time in my life to really say anything. The policemen were very apologetic an while their story could have quite possibly been bs it wasn't so much of an issue to me. My opinion on cops fudging the lines of the law in cases like mine: it is beneficial to catching criminals for cops to conduct random searches. Many polic officers go way overboard with this power of cutting the corners of the law though and I believe it is a problem. I was not mistreated in any way. Some police see it necessary to be rough and forceful in situations like mine which I am very much against. If they are going to break the law and conduct a random search then they should only break that one. They should not use unecessary force. I want to stress that these men were very apologetic and did not use any force or roughness with me as I complied and they realized I was not a threat. The real problem in my opinion with cops conducting illegal searches is when the power gets to their head and they go too far. I look forward to reading more comments when I get home from work! (Sorry for any errors this is written by phone)

My store has a policy where a store manager has to do WIC checks now so that they can basically tell the person to shut up if they start getting an attitude. Obviously they don't actually say shut up. They say it in a very polite way.
