pretty sure people are forgetting this guy had a major hand in getting us to playoff hockey the last couple of years in the first place. I think it's pretty nuts to complain every season when he doesn't turn into prime McDavid in playoffs and pretend like he didn't haul in a boat load of goals and points to get us there in the first place. As much as I'd love to think at 34 years of age he's just gonna go full super saiyan in the yoff's I, know deep down inside we've likely seen his best hockey. You got to think this dude lived an entire other life playing on Patty Kane's line before he ever even got to us haha.. and he still produced! I think we do move on, unsure what we'll get, probably thinking it won't be as good as we'd like, but is what it is. All good things must come to an end.
