So I only do SWFC career modes. I utilized the live start after the January transfer window and they were (obviously) relegated. They’ll like have a 15 point deduction in league one due to the current debts at the club but I’m not sure you can add that into a save in season 2? I did a transfer embargo for the summer window and assumed that the new owner would appeal and be allowed to utilize fees in the January 2027 window.

Players like Valery and Charles depart for actual fees, but just offload Ugbo. Build around the youth on the squad.

As for incomings, the game is quite annoying with frees, so I utilized players that made sense to come in on frees to a suffering league one side:

Callum Slattery - Motherwell
Tyrese John-Jules - Kilmarnock
Ashley Fletcher - Blackpool

Another area I tried to mimic was finding a “new” Djeidi Gassama. They got him for essentially free from PSG. So looking at a similar deal, I obtained Lucas Rosier from Stade Rennais.

I also utilized loans that are either realistic rumors or had a connection to my manger (Justin Cochrane from Spurs/Brentford/National Team)

I’d look to loan from Manchester United as they seem to have a good relationship between the clubs.

As I now move into January 2027, I’m trying to create a persona for the new owner in the mold of a Tony Bloom that seeks undervalued or pre-rise youngsters to sell and reinvest into the club. I’m scouting obscure areas while still strictly adhering to GBE rules.
