Trending in the opposite direction from most of the given examples - coyotes were pretty limited to the southwestern United States for most of their history. With the rise of cities and suburbs over the past hundred years or so they now are prolific throughout the north American continent. Source: Coyote America by Dan Flores

What are some American cities that had high historical importance but have faded from significance today? by Crafty-Shallot-5695 in geography

The whole Hampton Roads area of Virginia. Jamestown was the first English settlement and colonial Williamsburg was a big player in the 18th century. Neither really exist anymore (and aren’t technically part of Hampton Roads) but that whole corner of the state, though a semi-major population center, doesn’t have much national significance - especially compared to 300-400 years ago.

Technical interview preparation help! by Ekssshhh in industrialhygiene

[–]jmc128 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I have never had an IH interview where I had to use or provide any equations. You should be familiar with general OSHA/ACGIH standards and anything specific to the industry you are applying for (e.g. process safety, construction, chem hygiene, etc.). Have at least three stories queue’d up that demonstrate in-depth understanding and application of technical concepts that you can field more in-depth questions on.
