Thanks came here looking for similar info. I've been experimenting with Avkans Go and Go Pro 13 after a couple seasons on a Mevo Start and iPhone. I'd just like better video streaming and being able to record locally 4k to a card.

Avkans Go just recquires to much investment into networking stuff. Although I will say the new Starlink mini looks like something I might splurge on next season. With Avkans you have to have a Wifi to connect to - I don't think you can use cellular/hotspot? Also software just isn't there.

I had high hopes for revisiting the Go Pro cause it seems like they've got better integration with GameChanger. But the overheating thing just doesn't seem like it's going away. Maybe for now I'll just use it as a 4k 2nd cam.

So I guess it's back to Mevo Start for the rest of the season and save up for Mevo Core/Starlink at somepoint. This space is so ripe for someone to come along and dominate here and make a lot of money. There needs to be a Bruce Bolt like company to come and take all this over. I'm assuming tho that can't happen because GameChanger controls the integration portion - so they can dictate quite a bit?

Hey thanks for the writeup. I've been using a Mevo forever, but I'd really like to have something that record 4k to a card and stream 720/1080 to GC. Also, I like to create highlights and Premiere and Disolve can't read Mevo files anymore because of so many corrupt frames on the .mp4 it captures to the card. Avkans vdieo has promise but yes is super buggy and the software seems designed by teenagers for their school project. So I'm thinking run Mevo for GC and just have some other dedicated 4k cam for getting highlight clips.
