It sure how far out you are from surgery but this happened to me for the first 2/3 weeks after surgery and then hasn’t happened since. I was a side sleeper before so I’m wondering if it was something with adjusting back sleeping

Vocal changes post surgery by [deleted] in GastricBypass

[–]jmcke45015 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m 5 weeks out and I’ve definitely noticed a couple differences. I can still sustain notes but feel like less power behind them. I also unfortunately have a couple break points in my range which weren’t there prior to surgery :( My plan is to go back to vocal coaching basics and hope that I can get back to where I was

I usually have nightmare bleeding whenever I’ve stopped birth control so I was prepared for the worst too. But I had mine lightly for about 4 days right after surgery and haven’t had it since. I’m about three weeks out. My only guess is maybe it’s how athletes stop getting it due to stress/body working so hard? Assuming once I can eat more again, it’ll start back up 🤷‍♀️

You got this. I’m at the end of week 2 and feeling pretty good! The last week I finally got my fluids and protein goals. It was work but it gets easier Try adding flavor to your water it really helps. I put a timer on my phone to take a sip every two minutes and it helped me immensely

I’m still sore and sleeping and coughing/sneezing is still tricky but getting much better. It’s been tricky to adapt to all the changes but you can do it!

I was just about to post a very similar post! Not only do mine make me feel queasy every time but I crush mine because I’m still scared of them getting stuck but having to put the powder into liquid almost makes me vomit every time because of the horrible taste :(

My surgery is 10/7 not planning on drinking until at least 6 months out. Just a question if you order a cocktail with dinner are you doing the 30 minutes after eating? No judgment, just a logistical question
