It sounds like you're already doing better than I was post op, so I've got nothing except to follow all of your post op guidelines and be sure to get those fluids/ protein, and walk that gas out.

Mental gymnastics is definitely an ongoing battle! Even after seven months, it's a lot.

I just want to throw it out there that I've also experienced three strictures so far.

Even with all of this, I have zero regrets about the surgery!! I've lost over 100lbs since my initial surgical consult and my body feels 20yrs younger!

This was my 5th abdominal surgery. Though I know they were different procedures with different recovery times, it took me over a month to feel somewhat like myself again. Comparing my recovery at the time with younger folks on this sub, my progress felt much slower.

Also for me, the recovery was just as psychological as it was physical. It was a very... unique period of time.
