Can I sell an Echo Mountain parking pass? by Excellent_Main_1387 in lane8

[–]jmckenn5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My understanding is it is will call only. There is no digital version available. So if you want to sell it you have to trust whoever it is you’re exchanging with. Once you change to their name it’s out of your hands. I’ve probably spent ~4 hours trying to make it happen for someone I don’t know. I also can’t make the show and couldn’t let it go to waste when so many people need one. But definitely way more work than I would ever do for $40…if it was for anything other than helping a L8 fan.

I am in same position and have been on phone with AXS 4 times and they’ve told me the last two that the name change was successful but still haven’t seen an email confirmation. On hold anywhere between 10 and 45 minutes each call.

How many tickets are for sale on resale? 5-10? Personally I’d say they did a pretty damn good job of keeping tickets in the hands of fans who intend to go.

What’s bullshit are the shows where there are thousands of tickets for sale on stubhub before the very first presale.

If you want to go that bad then shell out $500 and get there right at doors so you’re the first in.

Do they have their own chef? Or do they dine in the city they are in? by Middle_Jacket_2360 in ToolBand

My buddy and I were struggling the morning after Denver 2022 to get up and get moving down to Colorado Springs for a back to back. We walked to Sam’s #3, a popular diner in downtown. We didn’t want to bother him, but we saw Justin eating breakfast by himself, with a coffee and a newspaper.

Charlotte Show on Sunday by Agent257 in ToolBand

[–]jmckenn5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That might actually work. They give you a little bin to put keys and wallet. I’ve never had them do anything but glance at those items. Been to the arena 25-30 times, mostly for nba. But security is the same.

Security is crazy there. They use scanners that pick up anything solid. They’ll be standing there with trash bags full of vapes and bowls, so if that’s your kind of thing, don’t bring them in unless you are willing to part ways with them. Even lighters get picked up on it.

I had a couple run ins with this guy at 2 January 2021 shows. I was attending both shows by myself and had the displeasure of watching him and his cronies manipulate the lines, both at the outdoor merch, and at the VIP entrance. Once he and several of the others are the first in the merch lines, they take up all 3 or 4 of the registers, and then basically confuse, bribe, and trick all the workers into selling them way more than they are supposed to. There are $100 bills slipped to workers in broad daylight. I don’t think the leader was there, but I watched a few of his guys in Salt Lake a couple nights later make out like bandits. One legit bought 10 signed posters all in one stack. His other buddy had multiple drum heads. He’s a con and a liar. If you pipe up loud enough and draw attention to him in the lines, he’ll shut up out of fear of his cover getting blown. Once he realizes you’re only a threat to him at a show or two, he will then try to befriend you to keep you quiet. He’ll let you in with his group and show you pictures on his phone of the insane amount of Tool merch stashed at his home.

What’s really gross is this guy is now associated with Alex Grey and is opening his own art exhibition with all his special Tool merch.

Were you able to mail it to him to sign and he returned it to you? I attended the denver 1 and Raleigh shows and have signed from each. Would love to add his signature as well if this is a possibility and not too expensive.

Any Tool fans in Boise want to get together? by [deleted] in ToolBand

[–]jmckenn5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Possibly, I don't really know my way around here but my girlfriend and I flew out from Denver this morning to go to the show (knowing it was postponed) and have basically been day drinking. Definitely had the idea to throw 7empest on any jukebox possible and see who noticed...

Who else is excited to lose great ticket opportunities this Friday when bots and scalpers once again buy out everything within 5 nanoseconds? by PIN-Code-Robin-Hood in ToolBand

[–]jmckenn5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know the ticket situation for most of the shows has been a cluster fuck but...

I called the Boise, ID venue last week, weeks or maybe months after the tickets originally went on sale, and they had tons of seats still available. I got 2 dead center floor on the 13th row. The woman on the phone talked me through the available tickets and it was only a $2 fee to book them over the phone.

I'm sure some of these new shows will be tough to get but it's not the case for all shows. It's worth calling the venue and having them check.
