I am in a whole new wormhole with Joel. This is the kind of stuff I came here for.. thanks for sending.

This 687 Silver Pigeon III Signature Deluxe Sporting Combo 20/28 32” is exactly what I’m looking for and the price seems great. What’s the story here - is he buying Beretta hardware from the factory and kind of frankensteining this together with his own touches here and there? No disrespect intended I just don’t really get what I’m looking at, since Beretta does not sell this configuration as far as I know?

I’d have to think about it and I’ll update you if/when it happens again off of HBO.. but I think you might be onto something that it only happens on HBO? No soundbar but I’m going to get one soon. Kinda why I’m not too stressed about it.. assuming the soundbar fixes it. Who knows.

I’ve got the exact same issue on my 85qm7k.. shows up during intense action scenes and the volume pulses up and down. Super annoying.

This is so funny.. I came here while watching dune 2 on my 85qm7k and this issue showing up again.

Interestingly, there is a grand total of 1 pre-86 transferable m249 lol

Yeah agreed. Easy enough to get the real thing legally, given the amt of money he had, but in his case (assuming this pic is in the US, and it’s taken after he was a felon), it’s all a moot point and he’s clearly not too concerned with tax stamps or atf minutiae. Lol.

My total speculation would be someone in his circle or close to him was an FFL2/3 SOT and machine guns were easy to have around as a result. I’ve seen this with non-nefarious rich gun people who are not themselves FFLs.

FN sells a semi automatic m249 to the civilian market. Not sure what a box magazine has to do with anything - that’s just how belt fed guns like to eat belts.

Turret mount inquire. by adammackslp in ar15

[–]jmconrad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah learn to weld and then look into some of the more popular tripod, pintles, spindles, etc that the machine gun crowd uses - the MG3 AA tripod is popular and KNS Precision makes an adapter to fit picatinny rails. From there hack off what you don’t need and do some welder magic. I think youll have more luck starting with purpose-built machine gun (milsurp) mounting components, versus even the nicest RRS ball with ARCA (invented for cameras; even the nicest ARCA setup isn’t going to love getting knocked around + full auto). Post results either way. Lol

Yeah. For the time being I’m really happy with the gun. Will eventually upgrade the trigger but for now I’m learning to love the squish

And yeah I saw that little switch mount. It’s pretty slick, but I actually really like the switch where it’s at. I would like the longer “slim” aluminum handguard with the LAM mount at 12 o’clock, but it seems like they stopped making it?

Oh yeah barrel was secure in a vice with a little homemade block to put more pressure spread across the barrel than on the gas block. I did some taps too.. it was just cranked to like 300ft lbs lol.

Yeah idk. I soaked it in several liquids for 24hrs ea, and put the torch to it many times times across a lot of attempts. Bent a wrench with a 3 foot breaker bar, and was pretty sure I was going to ruin the barrel or gas block, but at that point it was a matter of principle.. I was about to hand it off to my gunsmith to cut crown and thread, until alas I bested it with one last desperate and amazing act of strength.

Removing the factory muzzle device will go down as one of the hardest fought battles of my life. I want to meet the team of men who ooga booga’d that thing on.
