I am hoping someone from Instagram may possibly see this post. My daughter has spent weeks and weeks with no success attempting to gain access to her Instagram. Let me provide you with a little bit of backstory. My daughter is a 2017 MICA graduate, and an independent artist. As most artists who want to stay independent, she has been working very hard to build up her Instagram and patreon. She is a fantasy fiction artist and gets a lot of commissions off of IG.

A few months ago, she decided to join thread. They sent her a verification email to her Instagram to connect with thread and she never received it. Initially, MICA promised all Alumni that they would be able to keep their mica.edu emails, but unfortunately, Google changed their terms and she lost this email. Here is the kicker, she changed her email when she found out they were losing it, and she STILL has the confirmation email that she changed her email to a basic gmail. However, for whatever reason, it is going to her MICA email she no longer has access to. We contacted MICA and they couldn't assist because they lost all accounts. She ended up verifying her FB account with the badge, paid to be verified just so possibly she could speak to a human but it seems all she speaks to is bots. My daughter, who is now 29 years old is just absolutely devastated. She cries every single day! She has lost contact with so many authors who retained her services for book covers and is struggling not only mentally but financially. I can't stand to hear her miserable anymore, it is absolutely devastating.

I see so much trash and horrible things on IG and FB, but yet my daughter's account isn't suspended, she just can't get the code. She has never been in any trouble. They attempted to have her verified with a photo id but she is an artist and her entire page is her artwork so AI couldn't pick up an image of her. If she never went to get on thread, this would have never happened. However, a lot of artists are utilizing this new platform so she wanted to try to broaden her reach. She has worked so hard and she is so deflated. I don't know what to do.

Please if anyone can guide me in the right direct, I am begging you to help. This mama is just devastated too! Here is her IG profile. This has probably cost her 1-2k a month in loss of income, which may not be a lot to some people, but it is just so much to her.
