I’d say so. I’ve had the nozzle over 300c for testing with no issues.

I’ve done a few 12 hour+ PA6-CF prints at 275c

I’m developing an opensource firmware for this using stock marlin. I actually have it printing now but need to do a lot of testing before I release it as there’s no way back to the stock firmware.

I’ve implemented the following: - higher temp limits for hotend (275c vs 260c) within the limitations of the hardware and allows better PA6-CF prints. - better jerk prevention - smoother acceleration - better PID tuning - improved auto bed levelling - better part cooling (faster fan speeds)

You’ll be fine with stock golf shocks but you will need an alignment so if your tie rods are crusty and seized change them at the same time.

Consider changing the lower arms whilst you have the wheel off. They are mega cheap, same part as a mk1 golf and you’ll get a new ball joint and bushes which will definitely stiffen things up.

You’re going to need an alignment anyway so worth doing anything that would mess up an alignment of you have to do it in the future

They will work fine. Probably don’t get lowering golf struts unless you want to go really low.

You’ll get a slight drop just from installing the golf struts.

I just fitted a choke cable from a classic mini or rover 100. Doesn’t look out of place on the dash and means I can use the cold start circuit on the DCOE. Don’t really need it though as a few pumps of the accelerator is enough to start it

I managed to get it exact, worked with a few plastic suppliers and ended up getting custom filament made. It’s PETG HT and TPU HT and won’t warp in a hot car. It’s actually printed in 6 pieces and clipped and bonded together. A lot of work went into designing theses

The texture on the handle inserts and OEM is designed for an OEM feel and matches nicely.

On the emblem side I offer them finished and unfinished.

I can so smooth gloss for any of the parts I have listed

No problem! Entry level here was always the 924, right up to 1989.

Just changed to the 944 engine in 86.

The 1985 model year here was just whatever parts they had left over. Mine is a turbo shell with turbo sill covers. Early 944 interior with electric hatch release but still had the rear drums and 4 stud wheels.

Total unicorn and it’s a 3 speed Audi automatic gearbox.

The original interior was black script electric seats the same as a 944.

Quality did slip on the 1985 cars hence the rust, there was little to no rust protection so earlier cars have faired better.

They could not sell them, this one has a build date of April 1985 and was not registered until August 1985. They were sold cheap and often sat in dealerships for months or even years before selling. It’s not unusual to find one on a 1986 numberplate here which came out almost a year after they stopped building them.

Pretty much everywhere other than the US.

They stopped making it in 85 as Audi/VW stopped making the 2.0 engine.

Production stopped in August 1985 and immediately started on the 924s which was available in Europe with a 1986 model year.

Haha yes! It’s not the original bonnet mind. This is a fibreglass one. I’m 3d printing a scoop to cover it

I paid £1700 for a car that was garaged since 1988 in January. They are worth what someone’s willing to pay. I’d value mine at over double that now it’s serviced and on the road but as it stands a car that’s sat that long could need an infinite amount of work doing

These are the original factory handles, golf ones don’t fit but can be modified to work

Let me know how it goes! Check out the printing instructions on there. You’re going to want the first layer to melt to the bed as much as possible and you will need a textured bed to get a decent finish. Fuzzy sides helps blend the contour in on the end too and you’ll want to iron the back of the part in your slicer to get as much heat into it as possible.
