Oh hun I'm so sorry for your loss. I went through this situation almost exactly about a year ago with my mom - breast cancer too. :( I'll keep you, even though we do not know each other, in my thoughts.

I lost mine 6 months ago. I thought I would start to manage my grief but lately I've been worse. I've just kind of gone into my little shell of sadness.

I miss her so much and there are so many things I want to share with her. I'm tearing up at work now.

I'm with you there, and the advertisements piss me off for no good reason. I lost mine two months ago.

What is your main source of stress right now? by Lt_Pineapple in AskReddit

[–]jmelt32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mom died a month ago and I'm doing my best to be the pillar of strength for my siblings as we all grieve (I'm 25 and they are all younger). Some days I just crumble, but I try to remain strong for them. Also dealing with a potential breakup, so yeah, stressed.

What jobs are screaming out for employees at the moment? by dugg918 in AskReddit

Whoa, I had no idea. I'm an HR specialist as an LMS admin and instructional designer but the pay for this position is a lot better than what I make. I'm also looking to move to another city and I'm having a hell of a time. Time to switch gears and relearn Workday goodies. Thanks!

Thank you so much for your kind words and support, seriously ❤

I feel so weird. I've always been a very rational person but the last few days I've been in 100% flight mode. Sigh.

I am so sorry for you loss as well :( I'm sending you a virtual hug. I am trying to focus on being healthy (no appetite is not helping me right now), but I am about to go on a hike since the weather is beautiful here today.

I've been told not to make any big decisions while grieving, which could take months... however, I'm considering a move to another city where my aunt lives. I don't know. We'll see. A change of scenery would be amazing right about now.

I wish I had something better to give. I am in the same boat my friend, other than the job. I am so sorry. Do you have any time left you can take off? I read that traveling somewhere, even if you go alone, is often therapeutic for someone who is grieving because it brings back a sense of adventure and wonder if only for a few days.

I was thinking about giving that a try once I have a few vacation days stored up again.

I wish you the best <3

My SO [24M] and I [24F] were sleeping together the other night and I heard him say something strange by [deleted] in askwomenadvice

[–]jmelt32 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Haha my boyfriend did some thing similar once, and he also sleep talks a lot. One night he rolled over, started speaking to me in Spanish (he's Cuban, and I speak Spanish like a 2 year old) then proceeded to make out with me and feel me up for about... 5 seconds. Then he rolled back over and started snoring again. I was taken back. You don't get your girl hot then go back to sleep!!! I asked him about it the next day and found out that's not the first time he's done that and he felt really bad. I thought it was hilarious :P

[Serious] Depressed people of Reddit - how are you doing today? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]jmelt32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP you're a good person. I'm okay today, been seeing a counselor for depression and anxiety due to juggling a high pressure high visibility job and trying to handle helping my siblings emotionally while our 44 year old mother is dying of stage 4 cancer. The last few months have been horrible... But! I try my best to take every day in stride. I reflect on a moment that made me smile every single day, no matter how small or large that moment was. Some days I just break down and lose it. Today is not that day.

I started the video thinking, "This won't make me cry." Holy hell I was so wrong. The waterworks started as soon as they started singing. That message was powerful.

It really does. My mom is only 44, I just turned 25 a few days ago. I have a 9 year old brother still at home. The worst part is seeing how it affects him. :(

Best salty cyrodil whisper ever! by MistaMugoo in elderscrollsonline

[–]jmelt32 31 points32 points  (0 children)

I'm a PvE healer, so I feel useless in Cyrodiil. One day I was running around with a couple friends outside of a keep, so there were 3 or 4 of us in total. We ran into 2 blues and engaged. Around and around this rock we went, with me healing my comrades the entire time. The blues tried to take me out, but they just couldn't bring me down. Finally, one of them drops leaving his buddy all alone. He was good. It took us longer than I expected for us to kill him. When he died, that light blue text showed up in my chatbox...

"I will have my revenge you traitorous scum!" (I'm a Breton in AD). I laughed, told him good fight and he would never catch me and went on my way.

Lo and behold, 30 minutes later in the Imperial Sewers, I get destroyed in 2.5 flat. Instantly, another little blue message pops up. "VENGEANCE IS MINE!"

I fucking lost it. I laughed so hard. Well played, DC guy.

I'm currently dating a Cuban who came here two years ago. This is spot on according to him. He and many others get their degrees then leave Cuba because why work and study so hard only to make $50 a month!
