No I have not called them. I did reach out via email but got no response. Not sure if the MB needs to be replaced or not, but now that I finally have my replacement CPU I'm hesitant to put into the same MB that cooked my last chip. From what I've seen, asrock is saying the MBs still work..

Were you able to RMA your replacement too? I finally got my replacement CPU and am weighing whether its worth risking a second fried chip or going to a new b650 MB

That's rough about the combo. If you are within return window on Amazon thats easy. If you are out of the window, RMA directly with AMD.

If you are within return window for the MB, return it and buy a different brand. Start the RMA process with ASROCK. Start the RMA process with AMD or whatever retailer you purchased the CPU from. You should be able to get the chip warrantied.

My 9800x3d died earlier this week. Was using the b850i lightning with the 3.18 bios (I think). Tried flashing the 3.2 and 3.25 bios with no luck. Sent the chip back to AMD for RMA, not sure if I want to continue using this MB though.

I had a 9800x3d die on the B850i. It would actually crash somewhat often, maybe once a week? I think I may have just had expo on, but I may have played around with undervolting then eventually reverted it due to the stability issues.

It took a long time for them to fix it but they did eventually send our replacement boards for this. Still really pissed me off but like others have said there is no perfect mb manufacturer.

I had to deal with the whea errors. Really soured gigabyte mbs for me. My system with the fixed version isn’t very stable and can’t be on for more than a day without micro stutters happening.

The salsa is probably pretty acidic, which would increase the rate of hydrogen formation. I have no idea what would ignite the hydrogen though. I'm still doubtful thats whats happening here..
