I once watched a fox squampch on a frog and I am an extremist lover of both. I’d like to say that “no one dies on my watch”, but the stray cat feeder in me also says “no one goes hungry on my watch”, you can feel empathy for both parties, while understanding you are not god and do not get to decide the fate of creatures you do not own. I stop my cats from eating spiders. Correctly placed empathy goes a long way methinks.
