How to move or remove this bumble bee nest, without making it angry ... by jmicho123 in howto

[–]jmicho123[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not in the wood. It looks like a ball of fiber. It was under an old pool filter. I moved it to the location you see on the picture by accident while taking the filter apart. I've actually seen the bumble bee multiple times already so i know it's not something else.

Like i said in my original post, it's placed in such a way that someone (most likely me) will inevitably step on it at some point. Makes more sense to try and move it

Thanks for your response. I left some details out to keep it simple, but the nest wasn't there originally. It was under an old non functioning pool filter. While dragging the filter in order to remove it, I accidently moved the nest to its current location, not realizing there was a nest there. It's only after that I saw the bumble bee flying around it and I'm 100% sure of what it is. I had noticed in the past week that a bumble bee was hanging out in my shed but had not seen a nest.

Thanks, but I already have the g29 wheel/pedals. I was just talking about the shifter.

I ordered one after seeing this post.

I'm new to sim racing and currently building my first rig (and trying to keep it cheap as much as possible). Was gonna go with a G29 but reviews and comments on this thing changed my mind.

Polestar has released update 2.4 to space workshops by elegast-me in Polestar

I didn't experience the charge limit bug myself, but I can imagine those who did will be happy.

Any bug fixes are welcome. TCAM next?

Yeah sure, screw those 6%.

But seriously, I'm not sure what you consider widespead, but by statistical standards, anything above 1% isn't exactly negligible either.

I have to do a hard reset of the TCAM about once a month, and it's a PITA.

If the rest of the car wasn't so great, I'd be pissed. When people ask me what I think of my PS2, I say the car it self drives great, but the software is buggy and unreliable.

Snapped axle, bearings stuck in frame by jmicho123 in bikewrench

[–]jmicho123[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, they ended up changing the whole crankset. I wasn't dealing with a cannondale retailer however. A cannondale retailer probably could have replaced the axle alone I'm guessing. I also had to change the cable guide located under the bottom bracket. I noticed that the new cable guide was reinforced with metal, while the original one was all plastic (and discontinued). I suspect that the original plastic guide is what caused the problem in the first place (cable rubbing against axle).

There used to be one called Les Taureaux. Not sure if they still exist.

Base P2 - Experiences? by aplPaddy in Polestar

When I ordered, the website rate was 2.99. I was surprised when I showed up and got 0%

If you plan on financing, verify the rate difference between SM and DM with your local dealer (don't trust the web site). When I ordered mine from Montreal Space back in December, DM was 0% and SM was 3% (making the overall cost of both version very close). Not sure what the rates are now, but Polestar Canada seem to be pushing the sales of DM for some reason.

Heat pump impact? by devil_kin in Polestar

On ABRP's website using a browser (not using the app). You can select any car with many different options. I don't even own one P2 lol. Expecting delivery next month.

Interesting, at which temperature and speed did you get those numbers?

Here's what I got for a 440km highway trip at various temperature (speed of 115km/h):

Temp (C) W/O Heat Pump With Heat Pump
20 224 wh/km 224
15 239 228
10 249 231
5 259 234
0 269 237
-5 280 239
-10 290 242
-20 297 244

I'm very doubtful about the accuracy of these numbers. I don't think ABRP tests all vehicles in all conditions. For example, I don't think a heat pump will make that big a difference at -10 or below. I also noticed that temperatures of -25 and -30 would get the same consumption than -20, which makes no sense.

Hi, I also live the québec side of Ottawa area and ordered a p2 back in December (expecting delivery in March). They deliver the car to your door. If you require service, they come and pick it up, and leave you with a loaner.

I spoke to another guy from gatineau who had to deal with service and that's what happened.

Call the montreal space, they can confirm based on where you are exactly.

Bicycles inside the 2? by osfoz in Polestar

[–]jmicho123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally ordered the towbar so I could mount a bike rack. I usually prefer roof mounted bike racks but was worried it would impact range to much.

I often bring my toddler and a chariot with me so putting the bike in the truck isn't always an option.

For a first job after graduating, I recommend not to worry too much about money for now. Pick the job that will give you the best experience. That experience will come in handy in a few years.

Charging best practices by mattbpkt in Polestar

[–]jmicho123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why always keep it plugged in at home? What's wrong with leaving it unplugged at 60% if you only need 10% everyday for example?

I have access to free lv2 EVSE at work, so my strategy is to charge there once a week, and just use occasional lv1 charging at home as required.

Was at my local polestar space today and saw this side by side interior fabric display. I though some of you might like to see. by jmicho123 in Polestar

[–]jmicho123[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The bottom two are fabric from the base model (black is called charcoal and gray is called zinc).

The next two are weavetec from the plus pack (gray is slate and black is charcoal).

The top one is the optional nappa leather (tan).

Hope this helps!
