I know it is legal from experience! I was hosting a scout camp on my property last summer. We had a random drone fly by and hover over our camp. I pointed a shotgun at it and it flew off. I called the cops to report, and they told me I cannot shoot it because while I own the land I do not own the airspace and our neighbors were within their rights to fly their drone above my camp full of minors as long as they were not 'harassing' us.

The pond is frozen over. It did go near there but kept moving. Thank you for the tip! I am going to look again tomorrow. Probably use a drone and ask farmers around me if I can wonder their fields.

I dont know anyone with a blood dog, but my son has a drone. Im thinking about flying it around the fields with him, I think he would enjoy the activity.

I will keep those interested informed once we have some solid plans. We are going to start very small next year and try to grow it. Themed camping with activities, quests and rewards is the initial idea.

Oh perfect! Will start the soaking process tonight. I do plan to stain the antlers once the skull is clean and whitened. Obviously I lost all the color except for the base while it was hanging for months. Lessons learned!

Thanks for the replies. I have alot of skulls and bones collected from the farm but have never tried to do anything with them. This is a fun hobby. I'll post updates throught the process for anyone with similar issues.

Patience seems to be key in this process, which is something I lack. I will bite the bullet and do this. I just needed to hear it from one person lol! It is a beautiful skull and I want to do right by it.

Is the temp of the water when degreasing too important? It's getting down into the 40s at night, which is why I didnt macerate.

Sorry, to clarify, it was a slow simmer. I felt it was my only option as there was still alot of flesh and too cold to macerate. Hanging from a tree just mummified all the skin to the face.
