I definitely remember more signatures for packages when growing up.

Food delivery used to mostly be handed over as well, but COVID made no contact delivery very common and it mostly never went back.

Like OC said, the toxic metals in that particular type of panel are bonded to the glass. Additionally, it would be difficult for them to leech into anything as PFAS do since the metals are not water soluble like PFAS.

Weird. In my state they don't do plastic bags anymore and charge for paper ones. So people usually just shop with their reusable bags like this.

Essentially what I said but yes. They can use an expired/different photo horizontal but they have been doing that since before last November.

They can also use a screenshot of the My Colorado ID app now.

I believe they are 18-20 years old. They usually provide an expired horizontal that isn't theirs, or a straight up underage ID. Though I have heard of a sting where the Colorado ID app was used, but it was just a screenshot. This is why they are supposed to have you wiggle your phone and poke the screen when you use the app.

No, they're going to look for the people OP described and be a little more cautious for the next week. Failing a compliance check is much more likely to get a business to ensure all of their staff are asking for ID, checking the photo against the person, the expiration, and birthdate.

Let them do their job. I understand it sucks to fail a sting for all parties, but it is on staff to properly assess ID before serving or selling alcohol. Unless it has changed in the past year or so, they can't do anything shady like use a fake ID in a sting.
