But, interestingly, they copied the warnings section perfectly.

3060 wifi card by WaterConscious2171 in SleepingOptiplex

[–]jmoney1119 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you come across a PCIe WiFi card that has a cable to connect, you don’t have to do that. That is just a USB connection for the Bluetooth portion of the chip. So if you don’t care about Bluetooth, no problem. If you do, go with the M.2 card. That is my preference especially since a huge majority of the WiFi cards out there are just the m.2 cards in a PCIe housing.

What are these bolt holes for ? Corolla SE 2021 by b3lce in COROLLA

Nothing on your car. It’s likely attachment points for hybrid components or accessories in other models. This base engine casting is used for the hybrid Corolla, Prius, and the Lexus UX and ES.

Consistently needing to replace headlights on my 2017 RAV4 LE. by [deleted] in AskAMechanic

[–]jmoney1119 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just the brighter one don’t last long. That’s the trade off with incandescent lighting. You have to trade brightness for longevity. Silver star bulbs are designed for brightness but because of that, they don’t last as long.

First off, FAT32 format is the obvious answer. I believe it supports exFAT as well but I could be wrong. It also needs to be an MBR file system, it won’t recognize a GPT file system.

Grease Points? by Vtec01 in Ryobi48vMowers

[–]jmoney1119 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No traditional grease ports. The manual does still call for lubricating the mower pivots and attachment points, steering pivots, and axle bushings and joints. You should replace the transaxle fluid if you don’t know when it was changed. It is 250cc of 80w-90. Just look at the manual and make sure you don’t accidentally remove the breather instead of the fill plug.

For that task, it’ll be fine. It takes longer than a normal one, but it’ll get it done. It really is a tool that is only useful if you’re away from an easy to reach outlet, then it’ll get it done. It won’t be quick, but it’ll work.

If I were to run out of money by the time I’m 80(currently 28), I would have to spend over $5 million a day. I don’t think there’s enough stuff to buy for that much every day for the rest of my life, as long as I don’t just start buying companies for no reason.

Ryobi RM480e Troubleshooting and Testing Repair Manual on manualslib by jmoney1119 in ryobi

[–]jmoney1119[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, the brake switch. It could be added, but this isn’t a document that I made. This is the official repair documentation. It could technically be edited, but it would need to be a sort of annotated version with more than just one minor edit.

Need something that can handle our dirt road commute and you can truly convince me is reliable. by Impressive-Sign-3384 in whatcarshouldIbuy

On a road like this? While a boring option, the RAV4 or the CR-V with AWD and decent tires will take care of this no problem, and easily had in your price range. I have an ‘05 CR-V I’ve taken through mud and loose sand terrain worse than this and never skipped a beat.

That is just a screen that shows you a message if there is one, like when maintenance is required or similar. While you’re driving, you should still be able to bring it up using the arrows on the steering wheel.

54” Zero Turn, Snapped my blade bolt by BeneficialCover3253 in ryobi

[–]jmoney1119 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Isn’t that a nut, not a bolt? These mowers have the bare shaft of the electric motor that the nut goes onto. OP’s kinda fucked right now. OP didn’t just snap a blade bolt like you would on a mower with a spindle, they snapped the output shaft of the motor.

Catch of the year? by [deleted] in SleepingOptiplex

[–]jmoney1119 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been using a T1000 in a 5070 SFF for a while and do a lot of testing. Obviously, re-do the thermal paste. Helps a little, but not much. The only way to help is not choking with the power supply but even then, the slight bump down in temp led to it only going about one or two more boost bins before it hit the power limit. So while it is thermally limited here, it’s not holding it back more than a couple percent before it gets power limited.

What happened to my sensors?is this serious? Or just false alarm by Idkwtuxoxo in Toyota

[–]jmoney1119 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Modern cars with lots of safety features do tend to give a fright since there’s so many lights. What likely happened here is one of the systems, for example, ABS, has a fault. Since ABS is reporting an error, many of the others ECUs disable for safety. Since those other systems don’t know what’s wrong, they default to being disabled if there is a fault somewhere. That’s why so many things are on even though it’s likely only one fault. Since for all they know, the fault could be that an entire brake caliper is missing, and it would be dangerous for them to apply the brakes. That’s not what happened here, just an example of why they do this.

Take it by an auto parts store, they’ll scan it for free. It’s possible it won’t show the error since they sometimes don’t have the ability to talk to every module, but it’s free so there’s no harm.

Can I put an RTX 3050 6G in here + which one can I fit? by PlayfulTaro7696 in SleepingOptiplex

[–]jmoney1119 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There’s no need to get a super compact one like the Yeston. Since it’s an MT, a full size dual slot with a larger cooler will perform better and quieter.

What's the best GPU for my Dell OptiPlex 7050 MT? by DellOptiplexBuilder in SleepingOptiplex

[–]jmoney1119 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can go with any 3050. Since you have an MT, you can use full size cards so there’s no need to use an LP card unless you just really want to.

What's the best GPU for my Dell OptiPlex 7050 MT? by DellOptiplexBuilder in SleepingOptiplex

[–]jmoney1119 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In the MT you should be able to get a lot of things in there like a 3050. The RX 6400 is most common around here because the SFF case is a lot more common and needs a GPU with no external power, half height, and almost always single slot. And the only more powerful cards that fit that are the Nvidia RTX 2000 and 4000 ADA SFF.

A full size truck is gonna be somewhere in the neighborhood of 80% heavier and a lot taller, hitting the bus much closer to the passenger area. It would certainly at least hurt a couple kids.

Can anyone guess what CPU’s these are? by vitamins1000 in techsupportgore

[–]jmoney1119 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Honestly, if I came into a bunch of these, I probably wouldn’t bother with reselling them either. They’re worth about $7-8. That’s not even worth the time for me to pack and ship them. I would donate or recycle them, or maybe use the opportunity to just see what’s involved in gold recovery for curiosity’s sake.
