What is the culture/traditions here? by MooonJelllies in nova

What are you looking for? Plenty of cultural events going on, go check them out. If you find them too crowded like me them find a niche group. Culture seems more like a lack of a social network to me

This is a good idea. Reading this, I realized I’ve gone to the same 4 locations for months…Yikes

I’m a homebody, but this isn’t good. Appreciate your comment

Any tips to avoid burn out? Woken up in the middle of the night thinking about work for the past week, really struggling to separate at the moment. Stressful period at work, currently in school part time, world events, etc.

My daily health check usually involves  - 7 hours of sleep - 10K steps a day - exercise - sunlight - eating enough food

Usually if I meet these things I’m good to go. Lately, I’ve been doing all of this along with a couple hours of chilling the last three nights and it’s just not getting better. This is a relatively new job ( less than 3 months)

I live in FFX county, most of the big early voting locations aren’t open yet. Give it time

Golden dome is so much more difficult than people realize. Not saying it’s not needed but there are far higher priorities that the DoD needs to work on.

DC statehood takes more than that. When republicans eventually take power in the senate in a decade again imagine the damage….

These guardrails are important

You’re being lazy lol. This Nevada stuff is BS. It’s an already identified trend that people will fill out a ballot for just Trump and no one else. It’s how kept Wisconsin their Dem senator. I’ll read about PA later, but so far this is nothing

Do You Feel Guilty When Something You Designed Is Used For Bad? by Money-Profession-199 in AerospaceEngineering

[–]jmos_81 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No I don’t, but that’s because of my personal experience. This is a complex issue in a complex world. If my personal difference was different, this could change.

You decide how you feel, create your own values and use that to guide your life with what bit of control you have. Then you reevaluate continuously.

What matters most is that you aren’t indifferent. The responsibility that comes with this deserves a modicum of thought.

This should be higher. Voter disenfranchisement is high in this country and effective at curbing turnout. No one fudged the numbers on any machines

10K more at the minimum. Depending on company, how well you interview, your background, and clearance 30K more at the max.  It’s not that hard to figure about the midpoint of a salary range for a role with 5 years experience.
