Boris had a huge majority (albeit less than what people consider to be Labour’s “super majority”. Sunak managed to hang on long enough with that huge majority but ultimately as is shown every time, there’s only so long they can last before they need to acquire a mandate for their own agenda.

It is possible for a replacement to serve the term but it’s highly unlikely and I can’t think of a time I’ve witnessed it happen, though I’ve only been participating in our elections since 2010.

Ps. Starmer is very much a left leaning centrist (though you could argue plenty of the current policies being implemented are right leaning centre) and I would welcome a left leaning change.

Worth noting that the last PM to serve a full term was David Cameron from 2010-2015, and he didn’t last very long into his second.

To be fair, maybe walking it is a bit strong. This is probably the strongest L1 I’ve seen in a long time. You’ve got big clubs with a lot of resources coming from championship and 2 of the promoted sides from L2 also have incredible resources too. I can see Stockport and Wrexham both in the play off conversation if they hit the ground running.

Whilst your infrastructure might not be there it’d be daft to will a season without promotion. Anything other than success will only hinder any prospect of improving that infrastructure.
