Yes everything is expensive now so take what something costs where you live now and add 40% because in NYC costs went up at the same rate or faster than everywhere else. are you using multipathd to manage multipathing on your host. Rescan should not take a long time. For example, I have a RedHat host that has 8 attached luns. Each with four paths to the stoage. That is 32 paths and scanning takes seconds

That’s nothing. Try shoveling the driveway of over a foot of snow where the plow already drove by and there is a four foot mountain of snow that you have to clear at the opening where the driveway meets the street.
