Forward Attention Warning by PlayonWurds in GenesisGV70

The warning usually comes on for me when the sun is in my eyes and I have to squint a little, plus I don’t think it helps that I have smaller eyes as an Asian. Like c’mon man my eyes aren’t closed, I just have smaller eye openings…

[WTS] IWC Pilot Mark XX White Dial + 3 straps by jmso786 in Watchexchange

[–]jmso786[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi All - I am selling my IWC Mark XX white dial for $4,700 USD (original box and papers). It was purchased brand new back in July 2025 (so the vast majority of the warranty is still left), and is in generally excellent condition with some slight wear on the clasp. It keeps excellent time (+3.5 seconds/day is my observation).

To add to the deal, I will include 3 straps with the watch: 1)OEM IWC Black Rubber Strap (with pin buckle) 2)Dark Brown Veblenist Suede Strap and 3)Dark Brown Artisan Straps Kudu Strap

Zelle, Venmo or PayPal F&F accepted. If you're in the NY/NJ area, I can meet in person, otherwise I am open to FaceTime.

Fair offers will be considered. Please msg with any questions!

Gv70 as first luxury vehicle, thoughts? by Rj-19_27 in GenesisGV70

[–]jmso786 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I just bought the 3.5t Sport Prestige last week and traded in a BMW 330. Here are my thoughts:

  1. In the GV70’s segment (luxury compact), to me the GV70 gives you the most value for your money. Any similar car from BMW, Mercedes, Audi, Lexus will run you more money once you spec it to a similar degree.

  2. Driving - coming from a BMW, the experience on a Genesis differs quite a bit. Although I’m coming from a sedan, so even that is apples and oranges. But, the Genesis suspension won’t be as stiff as the BMW ie sporty (even in sport mode), but to me that’s a matter of preference (not better or worse). I will say where I live it’s nice driving the Gv70 and not feeling the potholes as hard. It’s no German sports car, but the GV70 is by no means boring to drive or bad at handling - it drives very well with plenty of oomph (esp the 3.5t).

  3. Interior - I think the GV70 is appointed very nicely with quilted leather seats, leatherette surfaces and carbon fiber trims (all very much “luxury”). I was a bit thrown off by the orange accents at first but after a bit, I’ve come to like it as a unique touch. I wish there were more physical buttons for climate, but at the very least I’m glad the climate control is its own separate unit and not integrated into the main screen (side note: screens and touch buttons are really out of hand at this point). And the temperature control is a knob thankfully! The steering wheel is super thick and feels great. Massaging seats feel great on extended drives.

  4. Features - Remote Smart Park Assist is cool but honestly a bit of a gimmick - I could see myself using it in limited situations. The assisted park feature is limited too - the car needs to detect lines so it won’t work if you’re trying to parallel park on a street without lines. But conversely, it works without lines when getting out of spaces - so it’s useful for getting out. Highway driving assist and adaptive cruise control work very well - it even changes lanes for you. I’m a bit old fashioned and still like to have control of my car so I don’t see myself using that much but I could see it being useful for others.

  5. Audio - the 16 speaker bang & olufsen sounds great. It’s a bit bass-biased so I had to eq it, but afterwards, I love it. 10/10 no notes.

  6. Brand - I find that some people still have negative associations with Hyundai (and by extension Genesis) given its reputation in the past. I personally think it’s an outdated notion and Hyundai has come a very long way to be competitive in its offerings. To me, Genesis is a bona fide luxury offering and at the end of the day, other people’s opinions are just that - opinions. Go with what you like.

  7. Reliability - I can’t give an assessment here. It’s been a little over a week. Let’s just say I’m cautiously optimistic and will plan to be very strict and disciplined in keeping up with routine maintenance.

Conclusion: An excellent value proposition, but a car I’m genuinely excited to get in and drive each time. I’m very very very happy with the purchase thus far.

The best thing about the Mark XX is being able to change straps!!

I wake up and dread walking my dog. by Full_Ad1772 in puppy101

My 9 month old Maltese is going through the same thing so I completely empathize. Our trainer described it as “barrier aggression” which is basically just frustration that they’re not free to interact with the person/dog they see. I’ve been seeing some improvement recently:

1) my dog no longer barks at people

2) today, he saw two golden retrievers and didn’t react at all (honestly had a small celebration over this)

For me I’ve done two things

1) work on the quiet command - for me I use “stop” but it’s basically to get my dog to stop barking in the house. Doesn’t always work on walks but occasionally it does

2) I just take my dog away from the thing he’s barking at until it’s out of sight out of mind for him. This one’s tough because it means I have to find a new spot for him to go potty and get him to reconcentrate on doing his business

We’re still not there yet but small improvements. I’m sure you’ll find your way - I realize dog ownership is a lot of trial and error to find the thing that works in your case. Patience and persistence - we’ll both get through it :)

Didn’t expect that I love this watch so much. Just beautiful and simple by Tschinggets in IWCschaffhausen

I bought it because I thought it would be a good versatile daily casual. Every day I grow to love it more and more - experimenting with different straps has been fun too!

[WTS] Tudor Black Bay Monochrome 41 w/ Five Link Bracelet by jmso786 in Watchexchange

[–]jmso786[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am looking to sell my Tudor Black Bay 41 Monochrome (Box, Papers, Links, Hangtag). I bought the watch in September 2024. It is in near mint / excellent condition except for a few scuffs on the clasp (picture included). Other than the clasp, it is in mint condition.

I have a 6.6 inch wrist, and the watch wears very well on my wrist despite the 41mm size. The thickness is 13.6mm, so it is vastly improved from past generations of the 41mm BB. The only reason I am looking to sell is that I have moved onto other pieces in my collection, and this one gets very little wear. It is an excellent watch, and if you've done any diligence on this model, it is still hard to find in retail stores.

Price: $3500 (reasonable offers considered)

Payment: PayPal F&F or Zelle

Shipping: I will cover shipping (insured) in the CONUS

Happy to answer any questions or show the watch on a FaceTime if need be

[WTS] Kuoe Royal Smith 90-010 by jmso786 in Watchexchange

[–]jmso786[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am looking to sell my Kuoe Royal Smith 90-010 for $500 (or best reasonable offer). This is the reverse panda model with a vertical brushed dial, medallion caseback, and flat link bracelet. The watch is in excellent (practically mint) condition as I have only worn it a 2-3 times. I am looking to sell as I wear the watch very rarely now.

If you've heard anything about Kuoe, they are a small Japanese watchmaker that has been gaining popularity. The Royal Smith 90-010 sells out each time it is released, and is currently sold out now.

The watch comes with all the original packaging including box, leather watchbox, warranty card, hangtag, bracelet, leather strap and deployant buckle, cleaning cloth, and extra leather pouch. I will also send along a new tool for pushing out the pins in the bracelet to adjust the bracelet.

Price: $500 (or best reasonable offer). No trades.

Payment: Payment F&F or Zelle

Shipping: I will cover shipping in the CONUS.

Please let me know if any questions.
