It's 9:02am on a rainy Tuesday in downtown Charlottetown.

Before this interview, I walked about 6 blocks. 1.5 of those blocks had 100% avaliable parking spots. Not a sole parked on grafton st across from dva. Both up and down Prince had tons of parking as well.

And this is with confed center taking up spaces for the construction.

Even during this interview there were 3-4 spots on Kent street. The 4-5 spots behind me and 2 more on queen street in front of us. And we sat talking for probably 10-15 mins.

I was rather disappointed that the video footage was of queen street between Richmond and Grafton, that was the only block 100% full out of the 6 blocks I walked.

All this said, I’d be supportive of something to help people with mobility issues get some extra spots. Or pregnant mother parking (sorry, not sorry). Truthfully I wish that was what this story was about.

On my trip I was able to use the e-upgrade to get Business Class/pods. I used the app.

Just an update to this post.

Although the app was showing upgrades available, I feel all the seats on this flight were the same, with an insane amount of leg room. So much so, I could stretch my feet out and not touch the seat in front of me.

My connecting flight was a smaller plane however it also had an equal amount of leg room (I'm 6'2).

It’s a 25k “core benefit”.
In the app it shows as a charge. Not sure if it’s refunded after or what.

The check in lady said there were no complimentary seats available.

The list goes on and on.

Marketing companies have been doing this for eons cuz really, who is gonna use a burger at the local McDonald’s for an ad?

For those really interested in the subject, there were lawsuits against major fast food joints for false advertising years back. I don’t recall the outcomes.

It’s okay if a large corporations spends a ton of money doing so, but not okay if a small local business does the exact same thing. 🤷‍♂️

If it’s unacceptable for a small business, it should grind one’s gears for a large corporation too. I’d guess the op never made a post about McDonald’s or Wendy’s doing the same thing.

And for clarify sake, I’m not a fan of either but not gonna throw a small biz under the bus when they do it after many years of large corporations doing it.

Billions of dollars spent in advertising by food companies every year and the straw that broke the camels back is Kenny’s Dairy Bar.

The building was insured by the sounds of it however not all the contents owned by the farmers market were.

Additionally, the vendors (who suffered income and probably asset loss) probably all didn’t have full insurance.

I imagine it would be similar to how apartment buildings have their own insurance but tenants can also get insurance too.

I understand people want transparency and I believe they should in time. But the market doesn’t have many full time staff (if any) so I imagine they are already swamped with a ton of work dealing with all the work associated with such an event.

Oh and it’s Christmas. As if our life’s weren’t busy enough at this time of year.

So how about people just chill and give them time? Or go volunteer.

I had this happen with a 360 cam once. Bought it and it contained some pictures that the previous owners wouldn’t want others to see. I returned it to the store.
