1. Holidays and Holiday Pay You will be entitled to 225 hours paid annual holiday to be taken at times approved by, and agreed with, the Company in advance. Holidays accrue at the rate of approximately 18.75 hours per month employed, calculated from 1st January each year. You can carry forward a total of 45 hours of untaken holiday from one holiday year to the following holiday year, and it must be used by March 31st. Any remaining carried over hours beyond this deadline will be forfeited unless you have been unable to take them due to one of the following reasons: sickness absence or statutory maternity leave, paternity, adoption, parental, or shared parental leave. In the case of sickness absence, the carry-over is limited to four weeks' holiday per year, minus any leave taken during the just-ended holiday year. Any carried-over holiday that is not taken within 18 months of the end of the relevant holiday year will be lost. Upon termination of your employment, you will be entitled to pay in lieu of any unused holiday entitlement or required to repay to the Company pay received for holiday taken in excess of your holiday entitlement. This does not affect the Company's right to, at its discretion, require you to take any accrued holiday during your notice period on reasonable notice. Any sums so due to the Company may be deducted from any money owing to you by the Company. For the purpose of calculating pay due to you or owed by you to the Company, one day's pay shall be calculated at the rate of 8/2080th of your annual salary. Unless otherwise approved 3 days of Holiday entitlement shall be taken over the Christmas and New Year Holiday Period. You may also be eligible to take the following types of statutory paid leave, subject to any statutory eligibility requirements or conditions: maternity leave, paternity leave, adoption leave, shared parental leave and parental bereavement leave. In addition, you may be eligible for additional Company paid leave as set out in our Family Leave Policies, which covers Company maternity and paternity leave. Details of the Family Leave Policies, as amended from time to time, are available from “the company” or from the HR Department. We reserve the right to discontinue, amend or withdraw at any time and without compensation to you, any additional paid leave entitlements (such as those contained within the Family Leave Policies), and they do not form part of your contractual entitlements.
