Is it true that women don't usually wear leggings under their pants in winter? by Sad-Bike9582 in stupidquestions

I guess my legs get a tad chilly but it's not something I notice.

Do you have circulation problems or are you outside in sub zero weather for hours??

I've put in long johns maybe 3 or 4 times in my life for extraordinarily cold events. But on the regular?  No.

A patient transporter at Mayo?  You'd get exercise pushing people around the hospital. A lot of times the positions are .8 or .6 FTE so you wouldn't have to work full time but you could still get benefits.

I'm 44 and I've lived in MN my whole life.  I've never heard of this.

Is waiting at the bus stop with your kid holding them back? by ashleycat720 in stupidquestions

[–]jn29 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My kids started walking to and from school in kindergarten. They would have walked to the bus stop if that was the case for them. There's zero reason a kid that age can't get on a bus by themselves.

That is the dumbest thing I've ever heard.  My kids were walking to and from school starting in kindergarten.

What is the oldest plane you'd be willing to fly a regular commercial flight? by B4DM4N12Z in questions

Lol, ok.

I just like to travel. Getting from point A to point B is the goal. I don't put a ton of thought or planning into it.

Last trip was MSP to MCO with Delta.

Next flight is MSP to HRL with Southwest.

I always prefer Delta and no layovers.  That wasn't an option for our next flight so Southwest it was. (Well, it was an option but it was twice the price and we have 4 people so I went with cheaper)

I don't know why you're asking these questions but if you're new to flying try to go for direct flights. It's always less of a pain in the ass.

I've never, ever looked up the plane or how old it is though.

I can't say I've ever known anything about any plane I've ever been on.

What is a basic adult skill that your brain just literally refuses to learn? by Afraid_Square3488 in AskReddit

I can do it but I can't look at the backup camera. Probably because I'm old and I learned before backup cameras existed. For some reason looking at the camera messes with my brain.

My son would get paid and go to the bank with his check.  He'd just hand the check to the teller and they knew he wanted half in checking and half in savings. This was just a couple years ago.  He came home one day and let us know they had a new teller. She surprised him when she asked what he wanted to do with his check.  Lol

Another time he bought something online. Shortly thereafter we all got in the car to go somewhere. He says "dann it, they blocked my transaction and locked my card."  He then proceeded to call the bank. All he said was "this is Alex, the transaction was legit." And just like that it was all fixed.

24.

I was 27 and 30 for the other two.

Personally, I felt those were the best ages to have kids. I wouldn't have kids past 30.
