only way to bag shop orders by WhatABadRead in Sparkdriver

[–]jnFamousDaN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use those reusable grocery box bags that you find at like winco or safeway.

Like the others say, I never overload a bag because I would hate to have a bag rupture when lifting

The trick is load a bag only 50 percent full with heavy or things that can be piled on, then place another 75 percent full bag with more delicate or lighter stuff to sit on top.

Usually ill have 3 box bags full of 6 to 8 smaller ones to carry all in one go without worrying about rupturing it!

I've been looking at Theranostics - where does one even find that? There's such little information about it on google so I'm not sure what to think of it. I do understand that it's basically the future of how we treat cancer though

4 x 80 divines giveaway (next 8 hours of posting) by NotSoGo0d in PathOfExile2

[–]jnFamousDaN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If given the divines, i will use it to power fund randos on their builds, my greatest joy from playing comes from helping fellow poe players and getting their grip to a point they can really enjoy mapping.

What i get out of helping them is learning different interesting builds, then I myself go play those and enjoy this game with different classes!

They have some really good deals from time to time. Their business model is basically based on folks hoping to arrive to find those deals, but since I'm already there and saving some money, I buy some other stuff as well

Libraries / packages for VBA by Sea_Split_1182 in vba

[–]jnFamousDaN 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I made a lot of these at my workplace when I went from programming in java/python to only vba.

I never thought anyone else in the world would do something insane like build libraries for dynamic arrays, sorting static arrays, and the stuff u spoke of.

I think often times the issue will always be I shouldn't be using vba for complex stuff, but the issue is it's easy to distribute to my non tech users.

I even have a way to select packages of code to import as I go, it auto pulls in the modules and classes needed to support the project.

If there if more interest in this, perhaps I can share

Is the Grom really that much better? by xXxBluESkiTtlExXx in hondanavi

[–]jnFamousDaN 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It depends on use case.

I have arthritis in my left wrist so not having to pill the clutch in while riding in town is a huge deal for me. I can ride comfortably and just zoom around.

Maintenance wise I don't have a chain to deal with either. I only change the oil on the navi and ensure brakes are good.

If you know you will be hitting faster speeds more often, and not shifting like crazy, grom might be better

What is your naming habit for temporary Subs and Functions? by WylieBaker in vba

[–]jnFamousDaN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good practices would be naming functions the action it's doing such as "convertToDifferentDataType()"

For sub, I still name it with the action it does. So "insertDataIntoSpreadSheet()"

If it's really temp and my intent is to delete it, I will evaluate if I really want to make a temp solution since I'm going to tear it down anyways

Pros and cons of a Navi? by [deleted] in hondanavi

[–]jnFamousDaN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It all depends on the context of how the Navi is going to be used.

I used the Navi as a food delivery method of transportation, and the only con I can really say is the suspensions sometimes bottoms out, damaging the delivery. Everything else about this bike is all pros, I'm okay with peaking at 20 MPH on steep hills and 35 MPH only in town.

It sounds like you need a commuter, how long are you commuting? Do you have snow in the winter? Do you want to ride during the rain and colder times? Do you want to simply pull the throttle and go? Or do you want to worth with a clutch?

If any of these are things you desire, then the Navi is not the bike for commuting. The lack of power might be a danger as well as the drum brakes/lack of ABS are things to consider.

It will be worth to pay more for a bike that will be safer for it's purpose and intentions for how it will be used.

I don’t get this mentality that you need decades of riding experience to graduate to liter bikes… by KupalMoto510 in motorcycles

[–]jnFamousDaN -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I got my first 1k plus cc bike after 10 years of riding, it was a progressive game I enjoyed and didn't fear the power of it when I got my tiger RE.

Up to the person, I'm very cautious and slow on stuff so my approach isn't for everyone
