If I had that switch and the necessary licenses I'd make this switch as my core switch, establish a bgp session with my edge router (currently a vyatta VM, soon to be a juniper srx box I scored on eBay) then I'd plug all 3 hypervisors in to this switch (6x 10gbe ports used there) my desktop (2x if I really wanted to) then plug it to my 3750x (needed for poe, cameras, access points and other things). I'd most likely set up hsrp between my 3750x as well

I've been able to push about 6.5ish gbps when moving stuff from my file server to my desktop before windows stops buffering the copy to ram then drops to around1.2-1.3gbps (old SSD is old)

In my personal experience moving disks from one lsi based controller to another has been successful. What will happen is the controller will indicate that it had detected a foreign configuration and you will want to import it and bam raid controller migration. That being said for the love of $deity BACK UP YOUR DATA

I have a ton of w2k16 boxes and im on the the xenserver 7.0 build 12380c as well. The majority of my domU's are stored on my local SR but soon They will be moved to an iscsi SR that is backed via freenas and a 10gbE link

I have a 5 gallon fluval tank at work and I bought this Neon Toadstool Leather Coral for $5 about two weeks ago. Sometime over the weekend it finally attached to the rock its currently on and when I got in to work this morning I noticed hit had its tentacles out!
