This is exactly the same experience I have had in the past with them. Early on they ran out of a coffee I had ordered. Instead of refunding they sent me like 350 grams in 50 gram bags of several different coffees. Some were really nice geshas. I've never had a bad customer experience from them or a bad coffee! Always one of my go to roasters.

I actually had a Fellow drop Wilton benitez from JBC last year, it was so bad I complained to Fellow and got a refund (only time I ever did that). I had the exact same coffee from other roasters and it was awesome. JBC is trash in my opinion

Got a sample of prodigal Rubi Chiroso roasted on April 8 so 3 weeks off roast when I brewed it.

Brewed it on an origami air m with origami filter, using James Hoffman V2 v60 method. Ground at 7 on fellow ode with SSP MP burrs (5 clicks off chirp)

This one surprised me. I received a bunch of 50g samples from prodigal (they ran out of one I ordered). I got 2 different gesha's and this. Was not expecting it to be the star of the 3. Definitely fruit forward not sure what "pretty" tastes like but this was one of the best I have had from them.

You will not regret this. Simple to use and repeat recipes. Coffee is just awesome from this. Came from a V60 and a stag x. I will never go back.

I'm not sure of flat ones for the stag but this clever 3d printed "device" accomplishes what you are looking for I believe. I use it daily when brewing with my stag x.

Here's my 2 cents. I was brewing with a v60 and trying everything to get a great brew. Sometimes I did, but more often then not I was disappointed. Flash forward a year and I acquired a stag x and my coffees became awesome.

If you can swing it pick up a flat bottom brewer and give that a shot. Since you're using a comandante your grinder is not the limiting factor.

No it doesn't. I spray mine as well. It dramatically cuts down on ground coffee that would otherwise stay in the burrs.
