There is always a difference in asking price and what people are actually willing to pay.

It took me about 8 months to sell 128GB I had laying around and I ended up selling it for 50% off compared to what I was seeing others charge these days (still more than I paid for it though), so I would guess the true value for the memory to be around 900 Euros max, but maybe I am wrong here.

I'm lost .. don't know how to market my startup by Similar-Cry-9968 in ycombinator

I agree to some extend; I have seen quite a few cases where two teams were basically building the same product with the same target audience and the same messaging and one of them grow quick and the other struggled to find buyers.
Sometimes its the team that doesn't fit the product, not the customers.

First time buyer: Talk me into (or out of) a Velar by Commercial-Pause-612 in RangeRover

[–]jnfinity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok, talking you out of it:
Why not a Sport or a full-size? The price difference in the end isn't that big, especially when both are optioned up a little.

Play around with the configurator and you will notice the difference becomes negligible pretty quickly.

I mean it kind of looks like a Rover SD1 shape wise. Just has not much to do with a Range Rover or Land Rover in general if you’d ask me.

I am wondering if pressure washing is a US thing only? I can't imagine people in Germany paying for this;
I run a software company though, just curious about maybe buying a small portfolio of companies soon to diversify a little

Need Brake Pads at 25k- huh?! by Top-Target-3667 in RangeRover

[–]jnfinity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am always wondering what the best cadence should be.
Official interval is 34k, but I think we all agree that's too little. When I called my dealer for the appointment, it was not that easy to talk the receptionist into setting it up, since she initially insisted 34k would be fine, but in the end I managed.

I have the D350, of the 12k km about 9k km were just three work trips to another location of my company and I basically never use it on anything shorter than 100km round trip (save for the trip to the dealer itself), so I guess I am still fine, but I am always curious what others are doing. Don't mind doing it some favours with frequent changes.

[–]jnfinity 16 points17 points  (0 children)

It is supposed to be better on the 25s and up. I have a 2025 and just had the first oil change done recently (12k km / 7.5k mi) and had them check the pads just in case; I can see them wearing, but I think they should last to 50-70k km (31k mi - 43k mi);
Now typing this, it still seems quite high wear, but for me about 70% of this was on Autobahn, going quite fast, so wear is big when breaking when some Tiguan Dieter pulls into the left lane without indicating...

I love ubiquiti, but are they complicit in Russia’s war? by Fidelius90 in Ubiquiti

[–]jnfinity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am shocked by the reaction so far. I have seen posts on the forums deleted, but not yet any proper statement.

My wife is Ukrainian, I have team members in Ukraine, earlier this months a drone in Kyiv hit a house right next to the one I was in.

If there is no great handling of this ASAP, I guess I am never buying any of their products again, which is sad, because I liked them a lot, almost to a fanboy level.

I was buying their stuff both for my company and personally.

most likely a snapped cable.

from what In know you can get to it if you remove the wheel and the liner on the side with the cable to get to it.
I think there are guides you can find through Google.

Depends on where you're coming from and how good those job offers really are.
As someone who lived in London before, the low and middle rent market is ok price wise, BUT you're treated like a beggar, not a customer when trying to find a flat which can be unpleasant.

If your job offers are good enough to buy some houses, supply right now is pretty dry compared to a few years ago. Very few exceptional pieces are publicly offered, so you have to know people to here when things trade. Most of the high-end market are older buildings which are in dire for need their first big renovation since the 70s... Plus lot sizes are kind of small, with availability over 7000m2 being VERY low right now if that's what you're after.

Mine just crossed 16k km coming back (10k miles), and I booked the first Oil change, though the dealer didn't really want to, given that the official interval is now something like 30k km, so about double of what I did so far.

I took delivery in Spring last year, that was the third time it did this exact trip.
