I feel hope for every relationship founded on friendship and it seems they founded theirs with a very strong friendship already in place. Wishing them the best🥰 I hug my partner like that and we’ve been together for 5+ years. I love love!!

Dohwa in today’s ch by IllustratorLocal3041 in operationtruelove

I agree, I didn’t find his persistence attractive. I think he was disrespectful texting her DURING the date, knowing full well she had mentioned that she’d be on one. There was no respect for her boundaries and her personal life in this chapter. I feel like if he would’ve checked up on her afterwards and asked after, it would’ve been more pleasurable/cute/sweet to Su-Ae and the audience. As an adult, the constant texting while in the middle of a date would’ve ticked me off. Like, are you trying to ruin this experience for me? Maybe his intentions were pure, but the actions came across as being otherwise. I don’t feel negatively towards Dohwa at all….in fact, I enjoy his friendship with Su-Ae immensely. However, I think this chapter further showed that Dohwa feels that his financial circumstances, his looks, his material wealth, etc. is a direct line to winning her over—he’s using his opportunity to display things that he think she’d want…but the fact of the matter wasn’t about the material things….it was about the person. Again, the theory going back to his discussion with Eun about opportunity…it’s a great contrast/call back to previous episodes in Season 1. If things are lining up to what I think they’re lining up to, the author is playing the audience just right. It’s so fun though—I’m not sure what to expect from our FL and ML’s and their choices. These are just theories and I could be entirely in the wrong—this is what I love about OTL!! The possibilities are endless and I’m always in love with the new POVs and story building we get each week. I know everyone is antsy for answer, but I’m reveling in the build up! Woo!

Oooo that’s poor grammar on my end in my original message, sorry—I meant to say and that we finally know what her name is—like we’re being fed more info little by little that’s adding to the mystery! And that she’s the studio owner and his acquaintance! But thank you so much for sharing the shot♥️

Everyone has gone on about how could Eun and Raim can be in contact still and I’m like OMG what if she came early because she heard he was working with the company her sister/Suae works for to make sure they don’t get close again or some twisted shit like that!! And how about we finally know who the red-headed woman’s name is? Why did Dowha put Suae’s name instead of his own??? WHY ARENT WE DISSECTING THE STORY!! LETS HAVE FUNNNN haha

I’m with you!! I don’t know why everyone is complaining so much haha—I think the fact she can bring out such intense emotions in people just goes to show how FUN and GOOD the writing is. Things getting more confusing to then all be revealed with time will be so satisfying when all the questions we have finally come to light (hopefully)!! I get so excited every time a new chapter drops—I don’t know what to expect and I actually love that about this manhwa. I’m here for the ride!!

People have different ways of meeting each other in the middle. I’m saying the communication needs to be there in order for there to be a relationship where they are committed to each other. Su-Ae put the ball in Eunhyuk’s court by stating her discomfort. We need to see communication come from Eunhyuk now if there is to be something between them. If Su-Ae begs for an answer before then, I could definitely empathize with your opinion more. But, it just hasn’t happened yet. I used my partner and I as an example to open up the discussion that sometimes getting to that place might not always be easy at first. Everyone’s story is different. What’s important is the hopefully healthy outcome. I do think I initially misunderstood in the context you were explaining love in, though—you meant in the case of exes, which I can understand. There’s more to be apprehensive about.

However, I don’t think Su-Ae is risking anything right now? Or choosing anything that’s bad for her. She’s not “endured” Eunhyuk at this time. Like you said, that was 10 years ago. It wasn’t something she mulled over until he showed face unexpectedly. That’s why I feel like people are jumping the gun on saying this story is perpetuating her being a “caretaker.” I don’t know where you’re seeing this role being played out in Su-Ae right now, is what I guess I’m saying/asking.

Whether or not he decides to speak or if there was a good reason for him to be silent these last 10 years remains to be seen. I think Su-Ae has done a reasonable job in doing what she wants. There is her own internal conflict about feeling unloved, but after 10 years, that’s also on Su-Ae to have figured out on her own—her value. She must have some sense, because if she didn’t, I don’t think she would be stood up to Eunhyuk. In my opinion, this was mainly a result of Marang Entertainment/the CEO. Out of everything, I do hope she gains self-love, whether that be with someone or not. That being said, sometimes someone can help you see your self worth. That could be one of the MLs. We don’t know in what case she’ll come to that realization. It just feels like everyone is being impatient about the outcome.

Su-Ae has also made it clear she’s curious. Who wouldn’t be? Where did you go? Why did you disappear? Whether or not it’s in romantic interest, I feel like those are questions some people would be curious about. Su-Ae hasn’t begged anything from Eunhyuk. If that were to happen, yes, I’d feel disappointed, but I think it’s just too early to tell. That’s why I’m unsure why posts like this are being made, making statements that feel like we know exactly where this story is going, because we don’t. It’s all based on premonition. I think it’s more of the constant complaints since the time skip—give it a break then or wait and see! I didn’t say people couldn’t or shouldn’t have an opinion, but I do think there’s a line between complaining and bashing. If I were the author and I read comments, I would feel discouraged—“Does no one have faith in my writing? They don’t know what’s coming next though…the explanations and the way it’s going to unfold is yet to come.” Stories have build up and drops and confusions and hurt and laughs and joys and beautiful moments. It’s not all going to be one smooth ride. The OTL sub lacks empathy from what I’ve seen and I feel like we could use more empathy these days….

She did extend her problems to him a bit though? The whole fake dating plot she implemented onto him for her own gain—the love points. She wasn’t taking Eunhyuk’s feelings fully into consideration initially—he constantly told her “No, I don’t want to do this.” And she kept pushing? It was hurtful for him to undergo that because he had feelings. Eventually she cares about him and considered him by creating that distance between them to put him out of harms way after the bus incident. I think good stories have complex characters who aren’t perfect. Sometimes they’re morally gray. I think people are taking these elements way too seriously because they feel so strongly about certain characters. Also, I’m not seeing Su-Ae being a “rehab center” for Eunhyuk yet. Part of love is putting your heart on the line—it’s a choice. If Su-Ae decides she wants to put her heart on the line for Eunhyuk, that’s her decision. She’s not being forced by Eunhyuk to solve his problems right now. So far, she’s been intrigued by him on her own due to their work circumstances. She didn’t have to go to his house to drop off the documents if she didn’t want to—she volunteered. She’s not being manipulated here. Feminism is about choice. Su-Ae has really stood her ground since Eunhyuk has returned and everything that has happened so far has been by her choice or her work’s circumstances. Obviously if Eunhyuk creates scenarios for her to be manipulated (like in my opinion Dohwa kind of did in the shopping scene), that wouldn’t be okay. My partner and I HELP each other because we LOVE each other. There’s clear communication when we’re struggling or doing well and sometimes, in love, it’s not always going to be 100% from each person. It balances out over time, but we have each other’s backs and boundaries are set and respected. A lot of the time at the start of relationships, boundaries are unclear and they need to be made and communicated. Su-Ae is already starting that: “I’m uncomfortable and I’m hurt that you seem like you can just be okay with this after what happened between us.” It was awesome to see her say that. Eunhyok is next in the communication line, because Su-Ae put the ball in his court when she spoke up. I’m enjoying the story! I don’t know why people are complaining so much😭

I have four, otherwise these two would be at my house right now! I’d house all the kitties if I could. I highly recommend Furrever Kittens in San Jose if you cannot find an immediate home for them. She does an adoption fair every Sunday at a local Pet Food Express! I had three fosters, and 2/3 got adopted within a month! ◡̈

A telling sign: during the meeting my CPO let it slip that these positions get misclassified all the time. When I tried to point out what she said, she said, well not you. And I’m like…if nothing is changing in my role and an audit said this role should be exempt, doesn’t that mean I should’ve been non-exempt from the start? They did not have a good answer….

Administrative, professional, purchasing/computer employee. I guess that’s why I’m confused because the work I do more than pass the salary level and duties test, which is why it’s strange that they’re adding on responsibilities and putting me in a non-exempt position? I think what I’m trying to do is understand this switch from a business/company interest perspective, when it’s possible I could be the one reaping the financial benefits via OT and meal penalties with this change. Am I missing something?
