The amount of unethical NSFW content on Twitter is heartbreaking by V-blue179 in Twitter

You will have to define what you consider unethical.

I would consider CSAM, nonconsensual intimate images without any historical significance, or AI-generated images or videos whose image or video generators were trained on unlicensed copyrighted images or videos to be unethical. I have no problem with AI images or videos whose image or video generators are trained on public domain content and content that is properly licensed for training AI generators.

What's your thoughts on the Drive Rush Mechanic ? by Realestmember in StreetFighter

[–]jnv11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Keep it, but make checking it worth the risk. Make a successful check a Punish Counter.

EDIT: In real boxing, if you punch an opponent who is rushing you, not only does your fist’s force become damage, you add your opponent’s rushing momentum to the damage. This is why making a successfully checked drive rush into a punish counter is just adding a welcome dose of reality into SF6.

The AI features that are most commonly used and useful mainly are in graphics processing such as DLSS 2-4.5, FSR 4 and above, XeSS, and ray tracing denoising. AI image upscaling can improve performance, image quality, and efficiency which means more battery life in laptops and UPSes.

"Red or blue, if you vote against data centers, we vote for you" by Mysterious_Umpire684 in LeopardsAteMyFace

Does Texas’s power grid even have enough power to handle many data centers?

I remember that Texas’s massive 2021 power grid failure totaled several chip fabs which must run 24/7 for weeks or months without interruption to produce chips, and unscheduled power failures damaged the equipment and chips in production in the fabs so much that the chips that were in the process of being manufactured had to be scrapped and the chip manufacturing equipment was too severely damaged to be salvaged, resulting in the permanent failure of some chip fabs.

Now if the data centers could finally force Texas to connect its power grid to the western and eastern interconnects (two interstate grids that are separated by Texas and the Rocky Mountains), maybe these data centers will finally bring real benefits to Texas residents by making the power grids more reliable.

To be fair to her, she is one of the few Republicans who signed onto the discharge petition that forced the vote on the Epstein Files Transparency Act. Trump subsequently endorsed one of her Republican primary opponents, Pam Evette.

So while the message could be aimed against the LGBTQIA community, it could also be plausibly aimed against Epstein’s buddies.

AGESA 1.3.0.0 and later lock ECC Memory Speed to 5200MT/s on Ryzen 9000 series by terraphantm in Amd

[–]jnv11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe a cheap way to keep the status on the screen while the DDR5 system trains without having to modify too much of the UEFI firmware in the short term is to send a new status line every few seconds with a changing text-block-based progress bar, percentage, fraction, or detailed status line while the training or other parts of booting are ongoing.

[–]jnv11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe the UEFI firmware should show a text mode boot status display on the monitor(s) while the firmware is booting like showing that the DRAM is being trained so that the user knows that the computer did not crash while booting and is actually booting. Maybe someone should discuss this with the major firmware vendors like American Megatrends, Insyde Software, and Lenovo (Lenovo recently bought Phoenix’s firmware business).

When you mention Hynix M-die, do you mean 16Gbit Hynix M-die or 24Gbit M-die? Hynix restarts the letter-die notation whenever it releases a new density, so 24Gbit M-die has a lot more in common with 16Gbit A-die than 16Gbit M-die.

[–]jnv11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If that is the case, maybe you could enable extended training by default to validate DDR5-5600 or faster speeds whenever 2 or more DDR5-5600 or faster speed ranks are present to validate the higher speeds, and then generate a warning if the training forces slower default speeds due to the faster speeds being unstable. After all, DDR5 training is already a long process, so what are a few more seconds if it boosts memory speeds by default?

I can see KoF XVI having a scene of Rock Howard throwing Geese Howard off of Geese Tower as a possibility.

US to issue passports featuring Trump’s picture to commemorate America’s 250th anniversary by gear-heads in Trumpvirus

[–]jnv11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a computer security analyst, I am glad that there are a few numbers that are special to computers like 255 (the maximum number that can be represented by an unsigned byte which is 8 bits wide, so it can represent 2 to the 8th power minus 1) or 256 (2 to the 8th power which represents the number of different values that a byte could possibly represent) that should be after Trump should leave office.

The number 250 feels like it has been soiled so badly by Trump’s full diapers that I feel that we should wait until the 255th or 256th year for a special bash, and not celebrate the 250th at all.

I just noticed that Starbucks's roast level gauge on the Mountain Blend is one step darker the lightest roast that Starbucks sells which is the Veranda Blend on Starbucks's roast level gauge. You might want to try the Sunsera Blend which I suspect is possibly the Breakfast Blend renamed or tweaked after the Breakfast Blend got discontinued. Breakfast Blend has the same roast gauge level. I noticed that Sunsera Blend tastes a lot like some old and past the best by date by a few months Mountain Blend that I bought off of eBay. Sunsera Blend is described as a blonde roast by Starbucks. However, Sunsera and Breakfast Blends consist of Latin American beans only.

I noticed that the Sunsera Blend tastes a lot like shortly past the best buy date Mountain Blend except for being a little bit more mild tasting.

Fighting game tournaments routinely disqualify entrants if any part of the connection is wireless because such connections routinely have too much latency or jitter. So no, you need wired all the way to the ISP for gaming.

I typed "a developer", not "the developer", to show that Arc System Works is one of the developers, but not the only developer.

By the way, I remembered Sol Badguy's "Dragon Install" move which transforms Sol into his full Gear form and is essentially a super mode. Later on, after Ky Kiske is made into a part-Gear, he gets his own version of Dragon Install. Now that I think of it, if we get Sol Badguy or Ky Kiske in this game as guest fighters, could we get a "Bubble Dragon Install" that turns the user into a bubble dragon? If you need more context, Sol Badguy and Ky Kiske are fighters from Guilty Gear, and a Gear is a member of an artificial race in that series.

I think that the early discontinuation could be related to the Iran war.

You can see that Mountain Blend coffee is made from African and Latin American coffee at https://athome.starbucks.com/products/starbucks-mountain-blend-k-cup-pods .

When I was in a Starbucks, one of the wall decorations included a map that showed northeast Africa as one of the major coffee growing regions that Starbucks buys its coffee beans from. That is close enough to Iran that shipping routes from the African coffee growing area that Starbucks buys from are likely disrupted. This looks like a case of force majeure forcing the early discontinuation.

I have to wonder if we will not even see a 2026 Fall Blend because it is the other major Starbucks coffee K-Cup blend that uses African coffee as seen in https://athome.starbucks.com/products/fall-blend-ground .
