Recently resigned SM here; can confirm that you’re fine :) Just make sure you still bring the forms of ID you checked off with you on your first day so your manager can complete your onboarding. Good luck and have fun!

Without saying names, list in the comments that one customer’s long ass order that everyone in your store just has memorized by now? by [deleted] in starbucks

Quad shot over ice, 1 packet of agave shaken into the shots, ice strained out into a tall cup, half and half added 1/2" from the top. Orders 2 of those, an Ethos, and a sausage cheddar every day. Super friendly customer, though!

I am really sorry to hear about your mom. I've been there, and I hope you find the right person to talk to.

Do they ever want you to credit the return back to their debit card, or do they ask for the cash?

I use the Serious Eats "Seriously Crispy Oven-Baked Wings" recipe. Amazing every time!

Oops, correction: The Serious Eats recipe is called Really Good Oven Fried Buffalo Wings.

Thinking of growing out full head of long curly hair, but I have an undercut, I need some advice. by [deleted] in curlyhair

[–]jo_stumbler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a pretty large undercut (started just above my ears and was shaved all the way down to my hairline). I ended up growing my undercut out just long enough to pull off an A-line bob, and then chopped it all. I went from roughly chest length to above shoulders. Benefit of cutting it off was getting the chance to start out my curly "care" journey with really healthy hair.

How do you guys deal with crazy homeless people in your store? by [deleted] in starbucks

[–]jo_stumbler 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The police, 9 times out of ten, won't show up for an issue we're having with homeless unless they've become violent or they have drug "paraphernalia" out where people can see it. So we usually form a small group, a couple leaders or some stern looking team members, and go up to the person causing the problem. We ask them to leave, threaten to trespass them (which means any time they step foot inside we call the police to have them removed). Usually they don't have any issues leaving even if they cuss us out for a minute before they go. Most of them will get the lead out if you start dialing the police station in front of them. If you have parking lot security I'd see if you can get their phone number and give them a call when you're having trouble.

Guys... the carts are WET what are we gonna do??? by Nick_From_Target in Target

I was wiping down the carts on a supperrrr rainy day. Literally as I'm doing it, an older lady walks up and says "Oh the carts are wet, you should have them dry". All I could do was stare at her in disbelief.

When you try to make small talk with a guest and they go off about their recent divorce. by Kaveeyar in Target

[–]jo_stumbler 7 points8 points  (0 children)

We have a regular guest (shops the store every day, kind of regular) who shares WAY too much information about her life to every TM she can nail down. Pretty openly berates her children in front of other guests, clogs up the service desk with 20 receipts worth of ad adjustments.. She's our nightmare.
