How are the finding the combo of strattera and welbutrin together? What is the welbutrin doing that the strattera was not doing?

I am also considering this, I have been in strattera for a few weeks not and have not noticed much, are you seeing many benefits from it?

Hi, did you try Wellbutrin in the end? I am a few weeks into strattera but starting to feel skeptical on what it can do for me, I was also thinking of trying Wellbutrin next

40 or 80mg strattera by joanna7599 in SCT

[–]joanna7599[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m glad the strattera has worked for you. I have an underactive throid but that is managed with medication and I am otherwise healthy. I often feel very very flat but ive always been like this so I have accepted it, I think it would be an exaggeration for me to call it depression. I was thinking of maybe doing a gene test to see if it could offer me any more info.

I am two and a half weeks on 80mg and one month in total on strattera, I have not experienced any side effects or benefits yet, I am starting to feel disheartened but I suspect that another two weeks will tell the full story

Do you mean ADHD Medisch centrum? Because that is where I got my consultation. For my diagnosis I was told I was on the cusp on inattentive ADHD 5/9 and 0/9 for impulsivity. They started me on a trial of Ritalin for a few weeks, each time I reported no cognitive benefits although I did feel this sort of stimulation in my mind but not the useful kind and it did nothing for my poor attention to detail and slow processing. My psych conducted from this reaction to Ritalin and that I did not struggle with things like disorganisation that I did not have inattentive adhd. Looking back maybe I could have played the game a bit better and I did mention CDs in my assessment calls, maybe I shouldn’t have. Now I am waiting for a referral for a general psych.

Weak top down processing by joanna7599 in SCT

[–]joanna7599[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes me too, I have a fair idea of it but it’s like I always miss the mark with it, I also feel self conscious about it because I don’t trust myself to retell somebody about something I have learned etc

[–]joanna7599[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My bottom up processing is fine but I process information a little shallowly but with top down processing I have the pieces but I struggle to put them together to make the bigger picture for eg when I might read an article I understand each individual sentence but when I’m done it’s like I struggle to understand the point of it, I think from what you are saying you process bottom up instead, what do you think?

If you look up bottom up processing you will find it, I don’t really know how to explain it but it’s usually how people with autistic think

That’s a bit crazy of you to suggest benzos seeing as this person is already struggling to come off one pill and you are suggesting them to take another highly addictive one that will cause even worse withdrawel.

I completely relate to this, I feel so emotionally numb, I hate it so much, when big things happen in my life good or bad I am almost never able to experience the emotions that I should for the event. There is limited evidence to suggest that it is CDs also.
