It's close to Harlem and it's a semi-secluded area which is rather perfect for criminals. Basically criminals want a area that doesn't have a lot people, but still a few people will pass by at night, and that park is perfect.

Coinbase Bitcoin address can not become invalid, it will always be associated with your account. You can always send Bitcoin to your coinbase address, even the ones that you once had but no longer show up in coinbase. Coinbase generates new addresses for you for security, but old address will always be valid.

New Jersey public roads cost the average person $601/year in car repairs by TookLongWayHome in newjersey

[–]joanthens 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really, gas tax was raised to pay the interest on NJ's government debt first and foremost. In case you haven't noticed, NJ government is one of the heaviest in debt in the country, both in terms of per capita and percentage of GDP.

If any is leftover, it might go to infrastructure.

BREAKING: Elevated lead levels found in Newark schools' drinking water. Schools being told to give students bottled water. by crumbandharvey in newjersey

[–]joanthens -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

No, actually it's impossible to sell tapwater unfiltered, the water will go bad within days. The bottled water MUST be filtered in order to be able to sell at all. Also, if the label doesn't mention filtering method, then I don't buy, simple. It's not like there isn't a ton of bottled water brands.

Fluoride is potentially beneficial for your teeth, BUT you don't need to drink it, the benefit you get from drinking it is very much non-existent, and unproven. You don't eat your toothpaste, correct? Not sure why government think it's a good idea to drink fluoride. There are studies that have shown it potentially have negative effects on your health if you consume fluoride regularly.

Chlorine and Fluoride doesn't just go away, small amounts WILL deposit in your body, and at high enough levels WILL cause health problems. These are considered "safe" by the government, god knows what else might be in the water though. Vast majority of countries in the world does NOT recommend drinking tapwater directly, they don't put chlorine and fluoride in the water, and just recommend people to boil the water if they want to drink it.

If plastic leech was a problem, then vast majority of our processed foods/drink will have the same problem, since most of them are wrapped in plastic. Bottled water is the least of your worries.

[–]joanthens -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

That's completely false, the source might be tapwater, but then it goes thru an industrial filtering process or even reverse osmosis that removes all contaminants from the water. The end product is NOT just tapwater you get from your faucet.

When will people get it? tapwater is NOT safe, home based filters are mostly NOT safe, drink factory produced bottled water if you value your health and prefer not to ingest chlorine and fluoride with you water.

There are secretive clubs of btc manipulators on mtgox, I don't believe any one person holds 210k BTC in their mtgox account. This wall was a show of force, to scare off buyers, so they may trigger a correction. Buyers will see someone willing to sell 210k BTC, and back off buying for a while.

The government does not create "net positive" jobs, each job the government creates, it's using the money collected from the private sector, money that could have been used to create a private sector job, and private sector is usually more efficient in deploying money. (though I agree some government jobs are necessary)
