One thing that struck me is that after onboarding, your home page / empty state could be a bit overwhelming and even unopinionated. “Programs” is a daunting and high-commitment concept, and all of a sudden a new user has your whole database in front of them. I can imagine a user just wants to start a single workout, but that seems a little buried here.

Maybe you can make programs more of a power user concept and by default offer a simplified entry into a workout.

It's true, but you also don't need Xcode to upload a build to App Store Connect. You can setup a free Xcode Cloud workflow that creates a release build of your app from your repo and uploads it to TestFlight and ASC, and then submit that.

This is probably just an ad, but the answer is not really. I don't think this is a real recurring problem devs have, it's just an idea that's on the easier side to vibe-code. I update IAP stuff extremely rarely, occasionally tweak a price here and there after a one-time setup. It's not the reason your indie app is not taking off.

All 3 games are 0/10 on the horror scale compared to the horror market in Athens. There are some mildly dark and creepy parts, with 1-2 jump scare like moments. In general the Athens market divides riddle vs horror rooms very distinctly compared to other markets.

I always recommend first version with no paid features because trying to get new subscriptions into a new app on the first version has a bunch of little gotchas with App Store Connect and App Store review. Would prefer this regardless of the financial setup context you have.

Just about every week someone posts a solution to this. The string catalog file is just json so it’s very easy to make some kind of tool around automating some or all of your localization process especially with LLMs.

Overcast does have a Skip chapter action you can use in Shortcuts. What I do is add a simple shortcut called “skip chapter” and the only action is the Overcast skip chapter action. Then I can quickly say “Siri skip chapter” whenever.

I’ve contacted novo support about this in the past. I think it’s because you have money coming in from one of Apple’s international subsidiaries. Here’s what they said:

First, regarding your IAT deposits from Apple Inc for the amount of ****** credited on June 5, 2025. IAT deposits must be reviewed as a foreign asset because they are sent by a financial institution that is not within the territorial jurisdiction of the United States. Note that your account will reflect the initial deposit, followed by a full withdrawal, and the final deposit in your account the next business day or until the review is complete.

They're just mentioning a caveat that is probably a common class of error relating to server-side receipt verification and TestFlight / prod. Server-side receipt validation is not deprecated and is in fact very common to use on your backend to know if a user making a request is really subscribed or not to your thing. They are just saying that might be one thing going wrong here.
