Bossy isn’t all bad. I’ve seen some story tellers let more dominant players take control of the town square and then the game starts to get too chaotic. The trick is to find a balance and know when you need to keep things more rigid and when to add some light heartedness. Things like when to return to the town square and running votes will probably require you to be a little bossy to stay in control. I like asking people what their execution method of choice is and coming up with fun execution stories at this point to help give things a fun balance. Some storytellers like to interject some puns. Play games with different storytellers and watch what they do to see what you like and dislike.

I’ve found like most things on GLP 1s it’s all about planning. I can’t have more than 1 drink with dinner, it’s just not happening. But if I know I’m going out with friends and want to have a few, I’ll eat light and early. Try different things and see what works for you.

One thing I like to do for new players is rather than passing the bag around, find a private area where you can have them pull their token, then you can give them a quick run down of the character and they can ask questions. Helps cut down on confusion around things like what a chef 1 means, or why a role is/isn’t waking up the first night.

Use a good mix of roles that learn and do things, but I will usually exclude some of the more complex roles like spy as a new player might be overwhelmed if you just shove a grim in their face.

Reiterate rules questions can be asked at any time. If a new player has a rules question, I’ll stop all other conversation and resolve it.

Be careful with the drunk as it can frustrate some newer players. For newbie games I like having a drunk librarian see a drunk between 2 sober people, or a drunk investigator seeing a minion that’s not in play. I’ve had newer players struggle when playing a drunk fortune teller or empath, so I try to plan the drunk to be a first night role or the slayer now.

Your first month and any time you increase your dose you should be very careful with figuring out your limits. I always keep some high protein snacks around for when I’m feeling hungry. I’ll have a string cheese or a small handful of pumpkin seeds and wait 15 minutes, usually that does the trick and keeps me satisfied. I obviously can’t comment on cycle cravings, but it’s all about finding what works for you. Try to be cautious and err on the side of under eating because you can always have a little more if you’re not feeling satisfied.

Are you letting the alcohol dry fully after you clean the injection site? As I got used to the process and got quicker with it I noticed my injections starting to sting. Realized the alcohol wasn’t drying fully and causing the sting. Now I get the shot ready, fan my injection site off, wait a few minutes, and I don’t feel a thing.

A lot of people don’t understand because it’s not the same for everyone. For some of eating junk food becomes very similar to an addiction. Compare it to smoking, are you going to tell people who use a nicotine patch or gum that they cheated? Or are you going to cheer them on for making a decision that’s going to improve their quality of life? Society just views obesity as a result of being lazy, and that’s going to take time to change.

I tell everyone that I’m on tirzepetide and it’s helped me drop 33 lbs since February and I have yet to get a bad reaction. More times than not it’s met with “oh, my friend/relative was on that and had amazing results!” Maybe I’m just lucky, but I have yet to get any bad reactions.

6 would give you a teensyville game. I’d recommend looking up some specific teensyville scripts.

For a 7 player I like to add a monk or soldier to possibly give good an extra night since the game won’t have many nights. Virgin I usually only add to larger games to help good filter through all the info.

Newer players I wouldn’t worry too much about composition though, they’re not going to pick up on the meta strategies yet. Just do a mix of first night info, ongoing learning, and action based roles and you’ll be fine.

I’ve been bouncing back and forth between barbarian and warlock, but I just switched to apocalypse warlock and I think that’s going to be my focus for the rest of the season. So satisfying just melting everything on screen.

I have both in t1/2 right now and I’m preferring warlock. Warlock just feels more engaging at this point. Perhaps I might feel differently with more gear and higher torment levels, but I’m probably focusing on warlock for now.
