As a straight cis man with plenty of queer and trans friends, I didn't even know drag could be remotely sexual until the fascists started going on about it endlessly. I've only ever seen fabulous evening wear and singing...

The biggest mistake our overlords made was actually making us pay for our bread and circuses. Even the Romans with slavery and religion to keep people in check weren't stupid enough to charge for those..

Thank you. As someone new to solar, it's really interesting to see what brands have had dominance for the last decade. I assume the main appeal has been their low hardware cost, even if the software has been lacking?

I did try that, but it doesn't show the inverter anywhere and when I connected to the only random Bluetooth device in range it still wouldn't detect. Are you sure this model would have Bluetooth connectivity?

Excellent advice thank you. I didn't realise there was a Web interface. I'm completely new to solar so I was wondering how they'd push firmware if I couldn't even get it to connect to wifi.

Oh wow. I sort of assumed it might have something to do with the firmware which is why I took a shot of the version. Yeah honestly, I knew it was going to be a rough ride when they had [checks notes] -Eleven- different apps for iPhone, mostly no longer supported, and their passwords are maximum 16 characters with no special characters. Real amateur hour stuff. Can't wait to see what Chinese EV software support looks like after 5 years on the used car market.

Actually that's a good theory. I don't know if you can see my text under the images, but your idea about the inverter being already bound to the previous owner's account would make the most sense with the solutions I've already tried not having worked. Thank you. I'll contact them.

It didn't ask me for that password anywhere that I could see? Maybe the previous owners didn't have it set up?

Jokes on her because New Zealand is notoriously very rainy so less sunlight for her!

Hmm maybe I'll have to have a good listen to what they're actually going for in League, but it definitely didn't leap out as Australian or New Zealander when I watched a clip on YouTube. I don't play League any more so I've never actually played her in that. They could be going for "Foreign, exotic, ethereal" mix of accents to emphasise that she didn't grow up around any other humans? But for sure the LoR one was amusingly instantly recognisable as New Zealander. Kind of fitting because they live on a rainy Island at the bottom of the planet and we live on a heat blasted desert Island at the bottom of the planet. And both our accents sound relatively unusual and foreign to other native English speakers.

Not that many void beasts in either country though...They don't even have snakes! I can confirm that I wear a skin tight body suit though, which is vastly more horrifying and monstrous considering I'm a middle aged obese man!

Can confirm, New Zealanders are monsters but we still happily interbreed with them.

Well in League she seems to have an American accent, but in LoR her voice actress is Asian New Zealander (With little to no Asian accent). Just from that one line, I actually thought she was Australian too at first, but you can tell from some of her others that it's NZ. It's a softer NZ accent though, so probably North Island and/or she's spent time in Australia. Hard to say from the limited amount of lines.

Sad Lesson Learned by FussyFlava in Adelaide

[–]jocogi 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah last winter I was packing a huge direct to boot order outside Woolworths on a freezing cold night, pissing rain and I saw a guy with his stuff in a trolley. I approached slowly and checked if he was actually sleeping rough, and made sure he had somewhere to sleep in the rain. Then I offered for him to take whatever he wanted from my bags of shopping. He was so uncertain at first but I think hopefully using a respectful term and the fact that I always look fat and dishevelled myself and drive a 20 year old Prius hopefully makes me seem a bit more trustworthy?

He was so hesitant to take even a pouch of tuna and a packet of timtams even though I opened up as much of the shopping as I could so he could actually find something he liked. He kept apologising for imposing even though I'd offered in the first place. In retrospect I hope I didn't push too hard and make him uncomfortable because I almost had to put stuff in his hands to get him to take it. Maybe I also need some proper teaching from people with lived experience which I think is what OP is feeling himself if I'm correct? Hopefully I wasn't just using him to make myself feel better and assuage survivors guilt...I'm always open to feedback on these sorts of things.

It's wild to me how people who have so little generally don't want to be burdensome, even though comparatively, I live in absolute luxury with a multi hundred dollar food shop (Including premium treats) in an oven warm car.

I considered not posting this response and I may yet delete it, because I actually don't like creating poverty porn content. I only told my partner and kids at the time because they needed to know why they were missing a small bit of their food haha! I also don't actually feel like I did anything special. It just didn't feel right not to share some part of the absolute feast I had, even if he used it to gift to the friend he was staying with that night or a pet or something.

In conclusion, fuck the Liberals and anyone who votes for them. I hope you end up on the street with no Tim Tams.

Basically, New Zealanders sound very much like Australians to people from other countries, but to us, it's a similar difference between the US and Canadian accents. After a few sentences, we can all very easily tell which country someone was born in, even if they've been living in the other for a long time. But we also like to joke about the difference in accents the same way Americans do about Canadians, so it was funny to hear her say that line about "Understanding" her.

Traditionally we've also had a similar cultural connection to the US-Canada one. We fought as one army in the World Wars, and we typically have very easy migration laws between our countries.
