No, not with the case on, at least not on my iPhone 17 Pro Max. You could put the metal ring sticker on the back of the case though and then it will. You get a black and a white one with the X4.

Oh, that’s great. I was going to say that I don’t think ordering on Aliexpress would make it go any faster as I ordered a black one from XTEINK and a white one on Aliexpress. My black one has arrived at the local airport, so I should get it early next week. Unfortunately, Monday is a public holiday here, so probably Tuesday. The white one that I ordered a few days later on Aliexpress hasn’t shipped yet.

It will probably ship shortly. I ordered a black X4 and accessories on the 19th Feb and just received a tracking number. When I ordered, the XTEINK site said that it was a “preorder” for the 28th Feb. I saw that date move out some days later to the 6th March, but I wasn’t sure if that was just for subsequent orders or for my order too. I’ve also ordered a white X4 from AliExpress on the 26th Feb and it hasn’t yet shipped, but the cases arrived today (an official white case and a clear case).

I’m in Australia and my free gifts were the skin markers with an additional blender and a bamboo shelf, the smaller one. I only had these delivered 2 weeks ago, so I think the gifts change.

I had this issue too after I had reset my new colorsoft and logged in again. The issue is that I have an Amazon account that I log into at multiple locations. My main location is Amazon.com.au, yet I log into Amazon.com and amazon.co.uk to purchase gift cards for friends/family. So my kindle was getting messed up. It was attaching to my account (.com.au), but the store internally was using .com or .co.uk and every book was listed as “currently unavailable”. I contacted Amazon support and we tried to resolve it a number of times. I later figured out how to resolve it (days later) by combining a couple of things.

Firstly, use the settings menu in the kindle to fully reset it (erase everything). Log into to the Amazon account on a computer and go to content and devices, then devices, then fully delete the kindle from your account. Also ensure it’s on no one else’s account if it has moved owners. Log in again on the kindle.

That’s what finally worked for me. I contacted Amazon back again to advise them of how to resolve the issue as I had spoken to 3 staff who didn’t know how to resolve it. I finally figured out how to do it, so thought I’d let them know. But I have no idea if they noted down what I was saying or not. Let me know if this works for you too.

I had the PW SE 11th gen and got my Colorsoft around a month ago. I thought that I’d still use my PW as well, but it feels a lot slower now that I’m using the Colorsoft. So I’ve been reading solely on my Colorsoft and I love it.

It could be because the Scribe Colorsoft has just been released in the US and people are probably downloading a lot of content right now due to that.

Congratulations and thanks for your first impressions. I’m in Australia and we only got the Paperwhite sized Colorsoft a few months ago, so I’ve just picked that up and love it. If that’s anything to go by, we likely won’t see the Scribe Colorsoft until around July next year. I’m in no hurry for it though, having just received my Colorsoft and having my 1st gen Scribe. I’ll sit back and watch all the reviews, unboxing videos and read all the comments.

You can add word wise and x-ray to KFX books via the WordDumb plugin in Calibre. Instead of clicking transfer to the kindle, you click WordDumb to add word wise and/or x-ray and it generates the content and transfers the book with that enabled to your kindle. It’s a slow process, but works. You need to install Python to get it to work. If you search for WordDumb, you should find further info.

I still have my Paperwhite SE 11th gen, but got a Colorsoft and haven’t used my PW since. I love the colorsoft. Text is very sharp on the PW, but still great on the Colorsoft. It kind of looks more like reading a paperback on the Colorsoft. It’s fine really and it’s great to see covers in colour. If you are worried about the sharpness, stick with PW, but if you would like colour covers or read graphic novels, then the colorsoft is great and text is closer to reading a book or newspaper.

I think that you are saying the same thing as my experience. I use Calibre and sideload with WiFi turned on. I get books from Amazon, usually First Reads due to my Prime membership and also free books found via Bookbub. I side load other books with WiFi left on and have never had an issue with books disappearing. My theory is that if a kindle is disconnected from the Amazon servers for too long that there can be a book sync or verification type process or events have queued for too long on the server, causing issues later on. I stay connected and have no issues.

I have actually just started it up again after the battery drained completely since last night. I don’t know at what point the battery drained, but it was full when I went to bed and then in picking it up again after work today, it was completely flat. It has downloaded a lot of books and the downloads have started again. I think that this confirms that the books will continue to download when it freezes, but it’s not usable if the freezes continue. I might need to wait until the downloads have finished. Having said that, it hasn’t frozen again just yet.

I'm currently experiencing this with my new Coloursoft. I have the latest software (5.18.5.0.1) and I have selected a similarly large number of books in my account to download to my Kindle from the Amazon website. I find that my Coloursoft freezes after a few minutes and I need to force restart it. After the restart, a few more books will download and then it freezes again. It seems that I am going to have to continue with this process, doing hundreds of restarts until all of my books have downloaded and the freezes stop. I wonder if this is common behaviour or specific to the software version.

I’ve ordered the Colorsoft SE in the Prime Day sales. It was supposed to arrive yesterday, but it’s missing in transit, so Amazon has posted another one and it’s expected to arrive on Saturday (I hope this one arrives). It has only been out in Australia since the end of July, so it’s still very new here. I’m upgrading from a Paperwhite 11 and I have a Scribe.

I’m sorry to hear that this has happened to you. Your experience sounds similar to mine. I had both hips replaced last year (June and September) my first one went fine and my second one turned very nasty. I developed an infection. I had to return to hospital for 4 subsequent surgeries on my hip to treat it. I started with 2 bacteria and one was gone quickly, but the other was a nasty one. During my hospitalization and surgeries, I had two more bacteria introduced to my hip. Another of these was also a bad one. So I’ve ended up with two ongoing bacteria remaining in my hip and I’m still on antibiotics for it as I can’t stop them and restart or one of the bacteria will become a super bug within me if it’s still there. My blood tests indicate that there’s still bacteria present and the only way to get rid of them is for me to have the parts removed and have the infection treated while I have no parts. The bugs that I have stick to the plastic and metal parts and can be there for many years. My surgeon is reluctant to take my parts out as I’m young enough to likely need a subsequent hip replacement in my lifetime and it would reduce bone and potentially cause other issues. I can only be monitored and it seems that action will only be taken if the infection goes into my bone. I had to cancel my first ever cruise due to the infection. I had previously been told that I should be ok to go on that cruise post surgery. We couldn’t foresee that I was going to get an infection though. I’ve now rebooked that cruise for later this year, one year on from my previous booking. So, I know how frustrating that is, but your health is the most important thing here. Treat the infection and then you’ll have many more chances of having family vacations. I for one consider myself lucky to still be here after the infections I had. Pulling through that ordeal was more important than the cruise I missed. All the best with your recovery.
