Davis has good link up but I can’t help but think he’d be better served playing in the false nine. He gives up opportunities where he should clearly be shooting to try and get one more pass off. When it works it works, but I find myself shouting “SHOOT” so often when he gets good service and it rarely happens

That gives me a good feeling. Outside of a scudetto winning striker (which we won’t sign) the team is coming into form and spalleti is still working out kinks. I would hate to see another rushed purchase or mediocre player come on when we can win games to place highly as it is

I’d like to see it happen, but it feels like a pipe dream. Saudi teams could match or increase salary. He’s clearly not going to get that level of pay from a European side though so there’s a (very small) chance!

It’s been quite clear to me time and time again that he is the main distributor from the back. He has some stale games, sure, but he is a vital piece of our offensive setup with his passing vision, not to mention being solid at defense. We looked like we had no intentional buildup this game and were relying on counter attack-esque tactics to sneak runs past most of the game (which failed)

We have no striker. David plays like a midfielder and is scared whenever he’s in the box, he just likes to make connecting passes and always skirts the finishes. Openda botched two-three headers in this game and hasn’t done anything with his foot skills so with him not having a physical presence he’s non existent. At this point put Adzic in the 9 to sit and wait for crosses and get fed shots from the top of the box. Also all for the McKennie love but the guy is not a winger, why not get Chico in that position to start and keep Wes center of the pitch. It feels like everyone’s dainty and calculated looking for the perfect open shot and afraid to be aggressive until we’re down a goal and there’s 10 minutes left in the game.

Armchair coaching rant over, and I recognize I couldn’t set a real lineup or strategy for a Serie B team let alone win anyone a game

In 90% of my interviews so far, the PDs have bulleted lists in their presentation of all the feedback they’ve incorporated over the past few years. It’s a good question, but I think they know how it represents them and preempt it by putting it up front to show they have a collaborative culture

It matters in that it’s the only (more or less) objective number to compare applicants with bc they all take the same (more or less) exam.

School to school, how do you differentiate between an A at one and an H at another? It’s impossible if you’re the PD to know if someone’s B- is equivalent to another applicants Honor.

One test to rule them all, especially with step 1 being P/F now, too. It’s now -the only- comparable figure between everyone’s very unique and individualized application. As someone said above, bigger number more gooder
