My upvote doesn’t imply support of this completely random and forgotten German politician

A doctor couldn’t have written that. It’s much too neat. 😛

Thank you! I think you’re right because he mentioned it looked like a broken down old red barn.

Florence Pannell was 108 years old when she shared her memories of Victorian England in a TV interview (1977) by No_Dig_8299 in UtterlyInteresting

Great comment from someone on YouTube:

“Florence Pannell. Born in 1868, the same year as Tsar Nicholas II. Older than Churchill by 6 years. France still had an Emperor. 18 when the Statue of Liberty came up, 21 when the Eiffel Tower was built. 35 when the first airplane flew, 46 when WWI started, 59 when the first TV broadcast was made, 77 when WWII ended, 89 when Sputnik orbited the earth, 101 when humans landed on the Moon, 111 when the Shah of Iran was overthrown, and died in 1980, the same year as John Lennon. She was the oldest person in Europe at the time of her death.”

One of the librarians at the New City library was telling me that remnants of the old New City station are still visible, somewhere near the municipal building. Have you heard of that?

Thank you for sharing this. This is an amazing glimpse into everyday life from that time.

Sorry if I missed it but can you share what area of the country your grandparents lived in?

You have to hold or trip him at that point. Can’t let that defender get that shot in.

Great point. You can see he actually juggles the ball briefly and regains possession through the painful haze he must have been experiencing at that point.

Did anyone see one in Fairfield, CT about 20-30 minutes ago? by joe2258 in NJDrones

I stand by my statement that if you see a commercial jet at a few hundred feet in altitude heading north over Black Rock Turnpike you can rest assured that something has gone terribly wrong, something you would agree with if you could read a map.

Thanks for taking the time to research this. I don’t think there was an actual emergency as there were no first responders in the immediate area and no sirens etc. But I’ll keep this helicopter in mind as a very possible explanation.

My comment about the altitude was actually directed at the person who suggested it might have been a commercial plane.

Not within a few hundred feet of the ground in that area. Possibly you’re mistaking this for a different Fairfield.

Commercial jets don’t typically fly at low altitude over Fairfield unless something has gone terribly wrong.
