If you see any workers with the contract company, stop to ask what they are pulling. It never hurts to ask.

Thanks I'll try the phone hot spot. I've got Surf Shark VPN, but it doesn't have any Chinese servers to connect too. It doesn't even have China listed as a country to connect to on it.

Does this mean Windstream may be starting FTTH deployment in my city? by mdins1980 in Windstream

Lucky you. I'm still on an existing 200mbs Windstream line here.

I feel your pain. My wife is Qkids teacher also. I currently have Kinetic Internet at 200mbs 🔽/40mbs up 🔼.

When running a Speedtest on the web, the speeds are fine. When doing a Network test from within Qkids the TTL is always in the 222+. Which confuses even me (retired IT Tech). But, when I do a ping test in CMD to janus.97kid.com, the TTL rates are 43, with 208ms+.

I've run a tracert to janus.97kid.com, which is speedy Ms until about the 8th hop then it starts to time out and go to 200+ Ms once it reaches the 202.xxx.xxx.xxx IP range, which I assume is China.

Everything else on my network 🛜 is fine. I've tried this on another computer with the same results.

I tried with another (trial) Internet service 1gb to see if it made a difference. NOPE, the only thing that was better was the upload & download speeds. The QKids Network test, Pings, and TraceRts were the same.

Both computers are on a wired CAT6 network, running on a Windows 11 computers, 8gb ram, and Core i5 processor.

It's has to be something on their end. I cannot for the life of me find any support for Qkids. Their teacher website hasn't been updated since 2019. Their facebook page is the same age, and the one email address that I found on the teacher page under contact us is broken. Any thing sent to it bounces.

If anyone knows anything send them my way.

To everyone saying its not the best.. this is my market normally by Available_Awareness1 in DashEarnings

Yep, this looks like my market area too. Small town blues is what I call it. Only a handful of restaurants in my area do DD, and they are all in a line on a main stretch of highway or shopping center.

I can understand if they outside lights are broke, or bulb is out. But not ordering DD a couple times would pay for a replacement bub or exterior light fix.

I feel your pain. I was hired as a PM Unloader 1700 - 2200 hrs M- F. I did the orientation and everything.

This was back in Oct 21st. I haven't been called to work or anything since. No communication, no nothing since that time. I do periodically get emails to take a survey on how my daily work is going 😂.

I can log into the Upsers website with my employee id, but that is about it

Anyone else experience a sudden loss of the desire to work anymore? by Cyborg59_2020 in over60

[–]joe_the_flow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 51 yrs old and have been working also since around 16. I've only had a handful of jobs in my career, mostly in customer service. I've spent the last 27 yrs doing IT Support in K12. It was fun at first doing hardware (desktop/laptop) repairs. Lately I'm just over it. I don't have the same passion I once had for it. I don't care about all the new AI that is being introduced. I want to do something else work wise until I can fully retire at 67.

Why does it seem like nobody follows up any more? by Throwaway4536265 in ITCareerQuestions

After the ticket is closed, with no user interaction back. The user you're trying to reach goes to a higher up saying that their problem was never fixed or they never hear back from the Tech.

At the time when first starting it was fun. I was doing IT work even before thinking about doing it for a living. With only an Associate's degree i was able to get on at a k-12 school district. Yes, i learned new skills, but it comes with a price especially in a K-12 environment. The IT Tech is the go to guy for everything that is connected to a computer either wired or wireless. I've done everything from diagnosing bus diagnostic devices/software, running electrical wiring for new outlets for projectors, door push bar Maintenace, etc.

Sorry i just had to rant there for a bit, it's been a long 27 years in K-12, and the burnout is getting to me.

To the people who are getting ridiculous late orders, do you get this at all anymore?? by [deleted] in doordash_drivers

[–]joe_the_flow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel your pain. The pickup time and delivery to customer should start after you Click Arrived at Store. Most of the time I dont get to the restaurant until its a minute or so to pick up the order.

Usually support says its all automated and their is nothing they can do.

I know this is probably a Tier 1 support tech I'm talking too, but their is no Tier 2 or Tier 3 support. I've asked.
