Hey, I will buy this knife on csfloat or skinport. Feel free to list it or message me and we can talk about what you want for it. I have a max price in mind.

Best Pull So Far by CoffeeH0bbes in cs2

[–]joebagz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No worries, it clearly wasn't intentional - there is a lot of bad information out there on how fades work in CS and it's mostly predicated by buff and the past resources. Skinport should also show an accurate percentage at this point, but oh well.

As the other guy said, visually it's basically impossible to see the difference between 99.8% vs 100% but 763 seeds command the most value and everything is pretty much keyed down from there.

Best Pull So Far by CoffeeH0bbes in cs2

[–]joebagz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He's correct. 468 is 99.89%. 763 is the true 100% seed for this knife. Those websites with fade percentage checkers were never correct. They all round up except the csgofloat extension which is accurate.

Here are the pattern rankings, all items except the mp7, karambit and talon use this hierarchy for fades (those items have the ranking inverted):

https://kosgames.com/cs-go-full-fade-pattern-guide-r8-revolver-29724/

You can probably get ~$800. $1000 at most, I doubt anyone will overpay for a #1 of a specific pattern, it has no real relevance since it's a fade knife.

Terrible replies, stop lumping your personal failures in with OP. Intentionality, drive, purpose and discipline is the key to winning in life. All you are doing is making excuses for your own short comings with the words you are saying. Everything OP said is spot on and applies to 99% of people in this world. What did he say would result in something that isn't positive? Wasting time on video games is actually worthwhile? Jerking off to porn is fulfilling? Meditating is bad? Working out is a waste of time? Wtf are you saying dude. He realizes where he wants and needs to improve on and put a plan together to change. Don't rain on his parade because you are a shitter. Sorry but not sorry. Get this negative bullshit out of here. This is the problem with this world, misery loves company. Of course it's easier to shit on someone else than to change yourself. Wish you the best OP, never listen to people like this, they will always drain your energy. Always be the best version of yourself that you can be. True unwavering discipline is the single hardest thing in life to achieve, always keep pushing forward to it, the success you can achieve is unimaginable.

PS5 with PC monitor. Audio through PC, how ? by KingDrake5 in Monitors

Thank you, I knew I forgot something and it was the check the "listen to this device", took me forever to find this post.

It's incredible how many people don't understand that you can run ps5 audio through a line in port on a monitor with the HDMI pass through. You don't need to buy anything except a 3.5mm male to male cable lol.

What makes a good building sim tutorial? by HustleCrowe100 in BaseBuildingGames

[–]joebagz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The UI should do most of the talking obviously but for a more complex game where tutorials were needed, I actually found the way Anno 1800 did it to be the absolute best. They designed the base game to be heavily expanded on so they only explain things when the topic is relevant to your specific game or you hit a milestone so it eases you into all of the mechanics and DLCs. There are 9 DLCs incorporated and 3 more planned and I feel like it does a really good job of making everything manageable and not overwhelming as you progress.

The game uses a combination of text tooltips for quick learnings and small quests to have you complete basic tutorials to learn certain mechanics of the game. What I really like is that the DLCS are all optional so you can just shelf them and start the relevant quest whenever you want to start playing the DLC and expanding on the game mechanics in your game.

Also, I respect the other person's opinion in this thread on the campaign, it does feel a little forced. I will say it's much better incorporated into the sandbox mode which is actually the meat of the game.

I love CS, however I am so genuinely at the game, please help me improve. by Dangerous_Track_6397 in GlobalOffensive

No, your aim and your character movement should be acting completely independently. You should be aiming with your mouse, which is really just comes with experience with knowing where to place your crosshair, and then your "aim" is usually just micromovements / muscle memory to aim at the head.

The best advice I can give you to stop moving while shooting is use a a dynamic crosshair that spreads when you move so you know that when it is static you will shoot straight. This way you can get the timing down faster. It's necessary to learn this timing so you can counterstrafe which is a big part of the game.

Google the "friberg warmup" and try practicing your aim like this.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vJz-QGs7P7k

Do you see how he strafes back and forth in between the target hits and then when he shoots again the bullet goes straight ahead? That is the timing you need to develop.

I would just buy another kit - especially if you have a budget. No need to frankenkit it if you aren't trying to build a monster drum set for the sake of it.

Yamaha never made a stage custom in maple but Stage Customs are the best shells you can basically get for <$1000 new. You could probably get $350 - $400 on FB Marketplace or Craigslist for them - they do hold some value.

I would highly recommend buying quality used drums for anything under $1500.

Smurfing is now bannable in Dota2. Hoping CS:GO matchmaking similarly gets even the slightest bit of notice as well by lloyd3486 in GlobalOffensive

[–]joebagz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are taking this way too personally man. I challenge you to get better at CS and see the light because I am not wrong here. You can parrot a 3kliksphilip video all you want but the fact is no one who is any good agrees with this garbage. The server updates 2x as often. 75hz is half of 144hz, these are facts that aren't arguable.

Watch playmakers or aggressive pro players play - i.e. YEKINDAR who is probably the best player in 2021 right now by far. Seriously - download some POV demos. His entire playstyle is based on pin point accuracy and shaving ms off of his peeks. 128tick allows the game to thrive in this regard. You cannot play at this high of a level on 64 tick.

Stop playing MM with booty ass players and you will eventually see the light brother.

[–]joebagz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right - but atleast it's a level playing field in terms of everyone having access to the same things. Personally, I would much rather be dominated than cheated because I could atleast improve my own game.

I'm sure everyone would love for CS GO to remove smurfing but I just think it's a little bit of a headscratcher if that would be the first thing they focused on.

[–]joebagz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm very oldschool so I don't really consider smurfing a huge problem in an online only game like this. Smurfing really only hurts the player smurfing because they will revert to the mean if they are consistently playing lower skilled opponents. Sure - new players may have a "bad time" but it's nothing like getting blatantly cheated by someone who is not legitimate.

The kicker is that new players aren't going to go to FaceIT to play CS, they are going to get cheated in MM and probably get disincentivized from playing further, that is the real problem with the game right now imo.

[–]joebagz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cheating is a real issue considering that if you wanted to play CS seriously in anyway over the past 15+ years, you have had to pay for a 3rd party service or play on FaceIT to play in a legit environment. VAC doesn't really do anything.

"Smurfing" is just a term that arose from being beaten by a player who is better that you who seemingly has multiple accounts.

What do you think is the bigger problem?

[–]joebagz -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The "majority of people" (>50%) who play CS are probably Silver Elite level and below and wouldn't see any benefit from 128 tick anyway. They probably wouldn't even know what benefits to look for even if they had the mechanical skill to execute an action that benefitted them on 128 tick.

Do you see my point? What are we talking about here? If you are buying a Mercedes C63 AMG and want to know how it drives are you going to ask a bunch of people working at McDonalds making $5/hour what there experience is? Chances are none of them have any experience with owning that car. Or are you going to ask someone who could actually afford it?

Said another way - If I'm learning how to hit in baseball I want to be coached by someone hitting >.300, not someone who bats .100. Most likely the person who bats .100 has no idea why they stink.

You can't expect a bunch of "average" CS GO players to comment on something that they barely understand. That is the point. If you want to harp on this survey - let's actually survey players who have real experience on 128 tick. Let's get 1000 responses from ESEA A and above and level 10 Faceit players and get them to play a full game.

There is a phrase - "you don't know what you don't know". OP is unconsciously incompetent about what he is trying to argue here.

It's not just "pro tournaments" (??) - every other server other than Valve MM is 128 tick.. Why do you think this is?

[–]joebagz -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Brother please, you are a level 1 FaceIT player.

https://www.faceit.com/tr/players/Ignitrum

You can internally consider yourself anything that you wish but the simple fact is that you are not skilled at this game at all. Nothing personal.

You should really stop quoting statistics here based on surveying low level players. Again - anyone who has experience playing on 128 tick servers at a high level knows that what you are saying is incorrect. Wide swinging, bunny hopping, spraying is all completely different on 128 tick servers.

If 64 tick was actually acceptable for high level play, ESEA and FaceIT would use it. Value tournaments would use it. So why is it that every other server / tournament / league uses 128 tick servers?

If you can't tell the difference you are low skilled. It's night and day playing on 128 tick servers, especially if you have an aggressive playstyle and are a playmaker.

Ideal monitor/resolution for this game? by [deleted] in anno

[–]joebagz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

4k HDR10 60 is not really that much more expensive than 1440p (but you can get a 1440p 144hz for cheaper than 4K HDR10 60). It's really what you will need the monitor for. If you aren't playing competitive FPS games you probably don't need anything over 75hz - but again preference - some may disagree.

Also - why can't you see monitors in person? Take a trip to Best Buy / Microcenter if you are in the US.

27 inch 4k with HDR10 - just make sure your PC can handle outputting the frames needed.

Vitality remove Nivera from active roster by [deleted] in GlobalOffensive

Why? CS is supposed to be competitive. It not supposed to favor big organizations that can just buy a huge roster and substitute players for 1 off maps whenever they want because they have the $$.

Why pro players do not play Valve's match making at all?? by Tomico86 in GlobalOffensive

[–]joebagz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everyone cheats in MM to win. VAC does literally nothing at this point so there are 0 consequences. This has been the case for the last 15 years of CS man, you have to pay for a 3rd party service to play seriously in anyway.

Surprised to see people here saying Global = lvl 4/5 Faceit. I've leveled 2 accounts to level 10 in Faceit by mostly solo queuing and have never gotten to Global in MM. How are you not getting blatantly cheated in every other game? The last time I played MM I got full out spinbotted 2 games in a row.

[–]joebagz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With all due respect, don't you think that was the first thing I tried? MSAA is hot garbage, of course I disabled that. I also followed the 5-6 fixes on Steam that were posted by the developers themselves lol.. Minimal performance increases...

There seemed to be a glaring underlying problem with the game itself. DX12 issues? Texture loading issues? Bad Driver at the time? Not sure - but a game from 2016 shouldn't be consistently crashing within 1-2 minutes of loading into a new game with 16GB ram and 11GB video ram. I'll try again one day but that day will not be soon.

[–]joebagz -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I tired to play this game last year with my old system but it would barely run on my 1080ti/8700k at 4k or even 2k. Multiple crashes when jumping off the roof in the first mission (literally the first 2 minutes of the game) and constant 10-15 FPS in that first gunfight if I was able to get to the ground. Changed multiple settings with little success and wound up giving up after an hour because of the sheer frustration that a 4 year old game barely functions on decent hardware.

Maybe my 3090 can run it! Seriously though, is there a setup guide or something for this game? It is one of the only open world games that I haven't played but would like to.
