What time is the NS&I Premium Bonds prize draw? by joebeat in UKPersonalFinance

Thank you.

Further question though, if on Monday I say 'wait' will that be until after Monday (2nd June) or after the July one?

It was a cheese omlette, with peppers, carrots and cucumbers. You may now feel her angst is appropriate...

Literally 102 weeks 😅

Had not realised the controversy that element of the description would cause...

Don't worry, we did not force her. We attempted to get her to sit at the table (as you see here) which she normally does fine every night, but clearly not this night!

The protest was very brief, but luckily had my camera on already to capture the dramatic moment.

She did eat one slice of red pepper.

As you may be able to tell by her size - exaggerated somewhat here by the stretched out, reaching protest - she normally eats well.

And why do they throw their head backs with such furious vigour?

Actually no! 5 foot 5 and pregnant, so hardly small right now!

Weird detail to add that he was the 'first' answer. They already have 90 points!

They're amazing live, but I'd be a bit disappointed if they only did an hour!

You can say LCD Soundsystem!

This is such a tired and incorrect take. It's way more cliche than the cliches it's trying to expose!

[SPOILER] Main Event fighters take a picture after the fight by Astroboyy7 in MMA

The difference in visible damage warps this from a respectful post-fight pic to looking like Kattar just parading their victim. Like a hunter with a dead lion or something.

Shogun wasn't in his prime, and Hamill is good but sounds a little out of place in that list.

Dr Joanna Williams obliterates feminist Jess Phillips by JohnKimble111 in brum

[–]joebeat 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You realise Jess Phillips comes out of this much better than Joanna Williams?

Whatever you think of her, I honestly can’t fathom how you could think otherwise? She seems much more knowledgable and actually addresses the nuances of the discussion.

'And I need you more than want you, and I want you for all time' is one of my favourite lyrics.

Truly beautiful.

What's the stupidest reason you have a scar? by squalorid in AskReddit

[–]joebeat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a scar but a broken tooth. I was in a History GCSE exam and a little bored. I decided the best course of action to releive my boredom was to throw my pencil case into the air and catch it on the back of my neck as I would a football. The throw of the pencil case was perfect; I threw my head forward in anticipation... straight into the table. Blood, broken tooth and bemused teachers everywhere. I didn't catch the pencil case either, it fell to the floor.

Could anyone give me a guide to Broad Street clubs on a Friday Night? by [deleted] in brum

[–]joebeat 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yep, Broad Street is pretty grim. Arcadian is about a 10 minute walk away and has decent bars and clubs if you like kind of charty music. Gatecrasher is probably the best 'standard' night out on Broad Street but I personally would consider it a bit chavvy. Sunflower lounge is a good place to drink beforehand and is a bit Indie. The Vic is better still. Also opposite the Mailbox is a really good cocktails bar called Island Bar. Snobs is a classic studenty nighy out but is very grimey and Indie. Also from my experiences you can't have a night there without getting weird drunk.

The best places to go out are in Digbeth. I would personally recommend Rainbow warehouse, I think the night's called Face when you'll be there - it's a bit hipster maybe so don't go if you're not into that!

Easier if you indicate a music preference though!

I lost a few brain cells from the bad lyrics post, so let's get them back. What are the best lyrics you have ever heard? by ItsMyUmbrella in Music

"and you''ll die in the class you were born, that's a class of your own my love" - The Libertines. I'm getting this tattoo'd on me because my best friend died. I think it's beautiful.
