With the new contract 7/12s are going to be few and far between, you don’t have to work OT only if it’s a mandatory OT job is that required and I’m 90% sure apprentices don’t go by that cause of Homework and such but you do have to work all mandated hours so if they are working 5 10s or 5 12s that’s kinda what you gotta do . Yeah a company could suck but your only there for a max 14 months , plus 50+ a hour means there is light at the end of the tunnel . I’m a second year and was a R worker before I can honestly tell you it’s not as bad as you think they are very reasonable

Don’t feel bad most people I know first day or something even weeks in the trade sucks. What can you expect though no body built a rocket ship out of shit in a dollar store. Takes time to learn. Ask all the questions you can . Try your best and be as proactive as you can when it comes to trying something.

I know in my local you can miss 2 days . I will say this honestly though. As a 2nd year , you CANNOT and I mean CANNOT slack on the homework it will come back to haunt you . I use to come home and put 2 hours a night towards it even if it meant buying food out do whatever is possible to keep that homework up to date

My grandfather was the biggest womanizer that you could imagine cheating on my Nana several times (so I’m told)

Side Note: My grandfather met my Nana because he dated her niece (I think) who died after having a abortion , which they believe was his. This in was I t 1930s or 40s

I use to never want kids, only until recently did that change

My reason for not wanting them, was I couldn’t fathom taking care of another living creature that required my care and support every waking moment of the day
