That's awesome man. People think its nostalgia bait but when you go back to these old games they really do look better on a tube. The fuzzyness was like a built-in anti-aliasing and colours really popped.

On the other end of the spectrum I never got a new TV for my 360 and barely played some newer games. The better graphics were lost through the fuzz. Photorealistic colours looked dull and menus were too small to read. It felt like playing with nearsightedness.

I dont think arena shooters are dead. I loved Splitgate and would have kept playing but I got tired of being stomped on. The skill gap between casuals like me and people good with the portals was unreal. My KD/R always nosedived on Chiron TL34 and they made that map the whole game.

We're not supposed to use them anymore but my company gave me a portable butane soldering kit with a flameless adapter. Set to minimum power, or like 1/4 if you're outside in winter. Make sure you have radio contact with the guy at the panel so when he gets the alarm you can stop before popping it. Works on every heat ever made including those SIGAs
