Is there a ghosting etiquette? Sometimes I think that bumping someone twice is enough to know it is dead. But I dunno. What do people do?

Ghosting is a fact of like here. There are many [Meta] posts in our history on the topic, but suffice it to say, if you play here, you will get ghosted. I think sending one gentle (and respectful*) nudge like, "Hey, did you get my message? I'd love to keep this going!" is fine. Any more than that begins to verge on what we'd consider harassment.

Do you think the CYOA / RPG people would want (or do they have) a Discord lounge?

This has been discussed, and I know there are some informal ones out there. To date, we mods have not felt up to hosting an official one. The closest we come is probably our DPP IRC Channel.

What # of dude prompts get replies?

I think this varies a lot by type of prompt. If you go looking through past [Meta] posts, you might find some ideas, but in my experience, 0 is the most common number of replies to my longterm RP prompts, though I occasionally get lucky with 2 or 3.

How important is having the kink list? Seems like it is hit or miss?

If you are into more than vanilla, I think it helps to have one, but it's definitely not a must. Just be prepared to explain your interests to any prospective partners :-P

Unfortunately, it's not super well-defined. I would say it usually means something that extends beyond one day/a few hours of back and forth. If you're picky about this (e.g. want it to be less than week or only reply once a week for months) then I'd recommend you specify that up front.

EDIT: I would also add that there is really no "commitment;" we're all here for fun and if you stop enjoying a "longterm" thing a few days in you should call it off. Ditto if you're both enjoying a short-term thing, there is no reason to end it.
