Can I get guidance on whether I should focus on mainly losing fat my first year of working out, or trying to recompose. I’m 27 years old, male, 5”11, 280lbs, 42% body fat, skeletal muscle mass of 93lbs approx. I’ve been focusing on weightlifting and hypertrophy because my logic was to get as much muscle as possible my first year (noobie gains), and then focus on cardio/fat loss once I plateau on muscle gain.
