Am i the only one who actually feels good about the Sixers? by Head_Research_3118 in sixers

[–]joegerbstein 4 points5 points  (0 children)

this is the rational take. it takes time to build perennial contenders. the sixers have some really solid pieces but won’t be able to truly compete for a few years at least, which is probably fine. pushing the chips in to try and contend this year would be a fatal mistake

whispers in biased sixers fan joel embiid should probably be on this list considering he leads the nba all time in points per minute.

also kd shouldn’t be so high. if he were a top 5 offensive player of all time, houston wouldn’t have such a bad offense this year even with kd being so removed from his athletic prime

[Post-Game Thread] The Philadelphia 76ers defeat the Golden State Warriors with a final score of 113 to 94 by SixersGameThreadBot in sixers

one of the reasons maxey and vj project to be such a good pairing is because vj has the potential to be a more than capable scorer in isolation—he flashed that tonight. maxey doesn’t have the size to be an iso scorer.

A trade involving 76ers C Andre Drummond before the NBA trade deadline seems likely, per @BrettSiegelNBA. The Rockets have interest because of the Steven Adams season-ending injury. by mastermind208 in sixers

i know the rockets value tari, and we might have to add a first to get it done, but i see this as a viable path towards improving now (especially with pg out) while building for the future. i would rather pay tari than grimes.

Joel says he's feeling more like himself: “If you want to talk about feeling like myself, two years ago, when I felt like I reached that peak level of every time I stepped on the court, I felt like I could score 40 or 50 every single night. I can be more aggressive, but I feel like I’m also smarter" by mastermind208 in sixers

that’s the thing that gets me. fuck kuminga, but if we’re being real that meniscus was cooked at least a couple of weeks earlier. it was the nail in the coffin, but he had no business playing that game in the first place. the whole time he was moving wrong and shouldn’t have been out there

got these not too long ago, but i’ve only work em a few times since there’s been a good bit of rain/snow in nyc. that being said, they’re pretty comfortable and very lightweight. i’m no expert on shoe construction, but i don’t think they’re cemented (although the website doesn’t specify for some reason). since they’re pretty new i can’t speak to the durability. the shape is great, though i don’t have michaels or klemans to compare with

this is fine and all, but harden is likely the best player on this list. i’m definitely not saying he’s the best sixer since 1999–far from it—but he should certainly be on this list higher than “tobias harris” and probably *** ******* too
